“May I make a suggestion?” asked Oracle.
Shrugging, Alex said, “Sure, the faster we sort out everything the sooner we can go. Is that okay, guys?”
“Works for me,” replied Sawyer.
“Ditto for me,” Glenn said.
“The first thing I recommend is deciding who, if anyone, you are going to tell about your gifts,” Oracle said. “And if you decide to tell Hunter, please understand he will tell Fionn…and Jackson, since they are members of the Blackwood Pack. Therefore, my suggestion is to talk to Jackson first…or if I have your permission, I can do that since I will be going back there before I leave for France.”
Glancing at Glenn and Alex, Sawyer murmured, “I don’t see a problem with letting Oracle talk to my cousin, do you guys?”
“Nope, then Jackson can tell Hunter and Fionn before we get there,” replied Alex.
“What about you Glenn?” asked Sawyer. “And what about your mother? Do you want to tell her or are you planning to keep it a secret? It’s all right with me if you do.”
Thinking about what would happen if his mother found out from someone else about Sawyer and Alex, Glenn grimaced, knowing his mother would be hurt that he hadn’t told her. But about his gifts? No, that was something he wasn’t ready for his mother to find out about. There still were too many other issues he had to handle first. “I’ll call my mother after Oracle leaves and let her know about you guys, but I don’t want her to know about my gifts yet…or yours, or especially Alex’s. It’s better if she doesn’t find out until we come back from France.”
“Agree,” Sawyer said.
“Ditto for me too,” smiled Alex.
Turning to Oracle, Sawyer said, “Go ahead…”
“I will take care of it and inform Jackson of your wishes concerning Willow,” Oracle said. “Now, if there are no more questions, I will take my leave.”
“Nope, we’re good. Just let us know when Alex can visit Fionn,” said Sawyer.
Rising, Oracle moved gracefully over to Alex. “It has been an honor to finally meet you.”
Standing, Alex impulsively leaned forward, wrapping his arms around her in a hug. “Thank you for everything, especially for giving me a brother.”
“Sweetie,” Oracle murmured, returning Alex’s hug, “it has been my pleasure.” Stepping back, she glanced at Sawyer. “And you, I have a word of advice for you.”
“I can guess…I shouldn’t take so many risks,” Sawyer said.
“Well, speaking as a mother, yes, but as an Oracle, believe in yourself. The Fates chose you for a rare and special gift, because they know you are worthy of it. Always remember that.”
Then, shifting her gaze to Glenn, Oracle smiled at him. “The Fates are very pleased with you, dear, and that is why they trusted Alex, their hope for the future, to you. Enjoy your new abilities.”
“I will…and, tell them thanks from me, please,” Glenn said, his voice overcome with emotion.
“Certainly,” Oracle murmured, giving Glenn a quick kiss on his cheek. “Now, I must be on my way.”
Rushing ahead, Alex opened the front door for Oracle, standing aside as she passed by. Giving a final wave, he started to close the door but was stopped by Sawyer.
“I forgot to ask her how to use my gifts,” muttered Sawyer. “I’ll be right back.” Heading out the door, he felt Glenn’s hand grab his arm. Glancing at his mate, he smirked. “Don’t worry, I’ll ask about your gifts too.”
Letting go, Glenn grinned. “Knowing that would be extremely helpful.”
“Got you covered.” Sawyer sprinted out the door, yelling, “Hey Oracle, wait up a minute.”
Giggling, Alex stepped back against Glenn’s chest, gazing up at him. “Hey, you okay about me being pregnant?”
“How do you know?”
“Your tiger just told me. He and my fox are struttin’ around, pissing off my dragon and wolf.”
“Yeah, that sounds like him. When do you want to tell Sawyer?”
