“I do,” Oracle said. “His name was Artur MacDùghlas.”

Chapter 36

“It can’t be…I’m French!” exclaimed Alex. “My full name is Alexandre Pierre Fouché.”

“MacDùghlas sounds Scottish,” muttered Glenn.

Oh my gods! It can’t be…no way!Looking back and forth between Alex and Oracle, Sawyer’s mouth opened and closed several times, trying to put into words what his mind was telling him.

“Fouché was your Omega dad’s last name and your parents decided it was best if you kept it…easier to hide you from the dragon world,” Oracle explained. “Artur MacDùghlas came from a prominent Scottish dragon family and his last name is well known.”

“How did my parents meet?” asked Alex. “Did my Omega dad live in Scotland?”

“No, sweetie…Artur met Jean-Luc when he was in France on business. They fell in love, so your father bought a chateau for Jean-Luc. The two of them lived together and it was where you were conceived.”

“I have to go there!” exclaimed Alex, turning to his mates. “I have to see where my parents lived.”

“Uh…buttercup, I don’t know if it’s safe to do that right now,” Glenn murmured.

“Of course it is,” huffed Alex. “I have two mates who have amazing gifts who can protect me. Sawyer, what about you? Don’t you think I’m safe if you guys are with me?” Turning to Sawyer, Alex scrunched his forehead when he saw what his mate was doing. “What’s the matter? Oracle, why can’t Sawyer speak?”

Shaking his head, Sawyer rubbed his hand over his face, trying to get himself together. How come Hunter never told me Fionn had a brother? And why not? Is there bad blood between the two of them? But wait…that can’t be because Alex told me he’s all alone…so that means…he doesn’t know? Oh fucking hell.Snapping his mouth closed, Sawyer turned back to Oracle, knowing the answer before he asked the question. “Oracle, Hunter is mated to Fionn MacDùghlas…is he related to Artur MacDùghlas?”

“What!” Alex shouted. “I have a relative? Really?” Slapping Sawyer’s chest, Alex frowned at his mate. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“I’m betting he didn’t know, buttercup,” Glenn said.

“No, sweetheart…I had no idea.”

“Alex, Sawyer did not know,” Oracle said, “at least not until I said your father’s name. Fionn is your half-brother…and a dragon.”

“Half-brother? My father mated with someone else after my other dad died?” asked Alex. “Never mind…it’s not important. Where is my half-brother now?”

“He’s in France,” Sawyer replied, “with my brother, Hunter.”

“We have to go meet him…oh my gods, I have a brother! Is he older or younger…no he has to be younger…oh my gods, I get to be a big brother! I can’t believe it…we have to go right away, mates…I’m not alone! Holy cow! I have a family!”

“Alex, Fionn does not know about you,” Oracle cautioned, and “I…”

“That’s okay, I didn’t know about him either,” replied Alex, smiling. “We can get to know each other now.”

“Buttercup, let Oracle finish,” Glenn said.

“Oh, right…sorry. What were you going to say?” asked Alex.

“I will arrange the meeting between you and Fionn,” Oracle said, her voice strained, “but there are things I must tell him before the two of you meet.”

Frowning, Alex didn’t like Oracle’s tone. “Is there a problem?”

“No, dear, but Fionn needs to know the truth before he meets you.”

“Oh…okay, I guess…” Alex said, disappointed.

“Sweetheart, don’t worry…you’ll meet your brother, just give Oracle time to set it up,” Sawyer said. “And that will give us time to figure out what to do about your trailer and my motorhome. They can’t stay at the campground while we go to France.”

“And I have to wrap up something before I can leave,” Glenn said. “But I promise you, we will go to France.”

Nodding, Alex said, “You guys are right. There’s stuff we got to do before meeting my brother. Where do we start?”
