Glancing at Smokey, Ghost said, “I’m good…anything you need?”
“Nope…let’s go. How many men will be coming?”
“Five will handle the road access, and three will be with us, scaling the rock face,” Ghost replied.
“Good…how much time are you figuring on?” asked Smokey.
“Total…three days. Most of it will be taken up by travel to and from Mexico,” Ghost said.
“Maybe less,” Glenn said. “Riley charted a private jet…curtesy of the agency…and has arranged all the paperwork needed. You’ll be landing at an unmanned landing strip about 500 miles away from Panther’s location. Four-wheel-drive vehicles will be waiting for you along with Riley’s contact. Once you secure the package, call Riley and he’ll take care of getting you out unseen.”
Grinning at Glenn, Ghost rose, gathering up the documents. “Always a pleasure working with you Snow White. Smokey…ready?”
“Yup…let’s go.”
Watching his friends leave the conference room, Glenn finally felt his gut ease slightly even though his tiger was still agitated about the fucking dragon. Sighing, he pushed back on his tiger, refusing to give in to his demand to shift. His faith in Riley’s ability to locate Alexandre Fouché would have to suffice for his tiger: right now, attention was on the upcoming mission he sent his friends on. Not that he had any doubts they’d succeed—well, maybe just a few; he knew how many things could go wrong. Shaking off his sense of foreboding concerning the mission, Glenn headed back to the safe room.
Hearing the door open, Riley glanced up from the computer screen, giving Glenn a quick look. “Hey, just in time.”
Chapter 24
Staring up at the black night sky, Jackson finally spotted a dragon coming in for a landing at the clearing in front of the Blackwood Pack house. Grinning gleefully at seeing the dream of his childhood come alive in front of his eyes, he took several steps forward after his twin’s dragon folded his wings tightly against his body. “This is so freaking cool!” he exclaimed, reaching out to touch the black dragon’s scales.
Sliding off the dragon’s back, Kieran landed softly beside his mate. “Alpha, do you want a ride onmacushla? It’s absolutely perfecto and so amazing! And don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe, otherwise, you know, macushlawould never let me go, being pregnant with squirt because he’d worry too much and our spirit would tell me and then I would be upset and it’s not good for me to be upset. That’s why my mate doesn’t let anything get me upset.
“So you see it’s perfectly safe for you, especially because you aren’t pregnant so Alpha Mate won’t have anything to worry about…well, except maybe that you might enjoy it so much that you’ll want to do it every day…although, that might be too much formacushlabecause he’s got so much work to do. But I guess I could help him more which would give him time to give you a ride on his dragon, but then I’m busy getting Theo and Norm’s wedding sorted out and I wouldn’t want them to be unhappy and…”
“Whoa, Kieran…stop. While I would love to ride on his dragon, I can’t right now. Maybe after I…and Logan…get caught up on our work. Right now, I need to know if there are any other dragons in Southern California.”
Shifting back, Logan said, “Nope, the only one I found was with Sawyer in his motorhome at the campground.”
“How far south did you go?”
“Down to San Diego. Alex is the only dragon in Southern California…well for that matter, also as far north as we are.”
“Thanks,” said Jackson.
“Anytime…and that goes for the ride, also.”
Smiling, Jackson said, “Soon…maybe when Hunter and Fionn get home.”
“That’s a deal. It’ll be fun. Anything else we can do to help?” asked Logan, tucking Kieran against his side.
“Not for now, but maybe once I speak to Dylon.” Then Jackson headed back to the house, pleased to see his brother happy again.
Kieran watched his Alpha walk away before looking up at his mate, grinning. “I can’t wait to meet Sawyer’s mate, can you? Another dragon! Won’t Fi be surprised? Duh! Oh my gods, I think we have a squadron of dragons! I never heard of anyone referring to it as a squadron but I think that’s what it is, according to my Shaman. Anytime there are three or more dragons flying together…although to be honest, that rarely happens, you know, because dragons are solitary animals. I think it’s because they’re always wary of another dragon stealing their hoards, but that’s nearly impossible to do today, unless, one of them tries to do what Fi’s father and uncle did to him, but that has to be fairly rare, right? At least that’s what Fi told me.
“Oh my gods! I wonder if Q knows another one of his brothers found his mate? He’s going to be so excited because the Love Queens now have their second success. I wonder who’ll be next.”
“Whoever it is,” Logan smiled, “they’ll be lucky to have the Love Queens’ help.” Leaning down, he kissed Kieran, before leading him to their bedroom.

Feeling his phone vibrate, Glenn held up a finger to silence Riley after seeing who was calling him. Answering, he said, “Dylon, what’s up? Has your Alpha changed his mind about my request?”
“No, not at all. But Jackson has a request for you.”
“What is it?”
