“Harder, harder, fuck me harder!” Queenie shrieked, bobbing his head to a beat only he heard.
Jackson’s eyes grew wide. “No way!”
“I want cock! I want cock! Harder! Harder!”
“Holy shit!” Breaking into laughter, Jackson said, “I have to tell Steel about your success in re-educating Queenie.”
“No you don’t,” Logan muttered, his cheeks turning red. Then, eager to change the subject, he said, “You never answered my question.”
Sobering up at the reminder of why he was there, Jackson asked, “How would you and Kieran like to visit France?”
“France?Macushla, wouldn’t that be wonderful?” Kieran said, clasping his hands together over his heart. “A perfect place for our babymoon, not that it was where I was planning to go, but oh my gods, it’s so romantic, and I speak French so it will be so much fun. When my Shaman made me learn it, I never thought I’d ever need it, but now I do, he was so smart, don’t you think?”
Placing his hand over Kieran’s baby bump, Logan said, “I don’t know, babe. You’re showing a little so how are we going to hide that from the humans?”
“No problemo! I’ll ask Q for some help…he is the bestest designer ever.”
“Maybe,” Logan said, giving his mate a quick kiss on his claiming bite. Then looking at Jackson said, “I take it something is up and you need either my gift or my mate’s ability there.”
“Kieran’s,” Jackson answered. “Oracle will be leaving soon to see Fionn…and I think it would help if Kieran was with him when he hears what she has to say.”
Kieran didn’t wait to find out any more from his Alpha. Consulting his and his mate’s spirit about his friend, his eyes grew round as he found out what Oracle would say. “Macushla,we must go…Fi needs me.”
Seeing the worry in his mate’s eyes, Logan tapped into their spirit, realizing his brother and Kieran were right. “We’ll go…but I want Mac to examine Kieran first. When will Oracle be leaving?”
“I’ll find out…but better to figure the next day or so,” Jackson said.
“What about Queenie?” cried Kieran.
“I’ll ask Theo and Norm if they’ll look after him,” Jackson answered.
“No, that’s not good,” Kieran protested. “He has to come with us or he’ll be so sad cause he’ll miss me and then he won’t eat and then he’ll get sick and Mac isn’t a bird doctor so then Queenie will have to go to someone he doesn’t know and that’ll frighten him because I’m not with him. It’s better if he just comes with us. Right, macushla?”
“I think it’ll be better for both him and you if Queenie joins us on the trip,” Logan said, rubbing his mate’s back softly.
“What about Q? Can he come with us?” asked Kieran.
“Quin?” asked Jackson. “I didn’t know he was that close to Fionn.”
“Babe, why Quin?” asked Logan.
“Duh…Theo and Norm’s wedding, of course.”
Blinking several times, Jackson sorted through everything he knew about their wedding…and nope…he didn’t see any connection with Quin going to France. Looking at his brother, he said, “I got nothing…care to tell me why he should also go?”
Logan was in the dark too, that was, until their spirit explained the problem. “My mate is helping Quin pick out a dress to wear to the wedding, so since the shop that makes the dresses Quin is considering is in Paris, my mate thought it would help if they could see them in person. That way, Quin could try them on and Kieran would help him pick the right one.”
Shrugging, Jackson said, “I don’t see any problem with that, but how do you know Quin will want to go. From what Hunt and Mase told me, he’s been pretty sheltered. Even the trip to here wasn’t something Quin wanted to do.”
“No problemo, Alpha,” Kieran said, jumping up. “I’ll take care of it. Q’ll be so excited…it’s France after all, why would you think he wouldn’t want to go?” Shaking his head at the silliness of that idea, he hurried to the door. Looking around for Queenie, Kieran saw he was staring out the window again. “Macushla,I’ll bring Queenie’s food back with me so he’ll have plenty of energy tonight.” Then opening the door just wide enough for him to slip through, he blew a kiss to his mate before leaving to find his friend.
Logan’s face glowed with love as he watched Kieran leave; the absence of his mate, even for a short period of time, still made him uneasy. Nowadays, though, he didn’t panic as he had when they were newly mated and Logan was always fearful of falling back into the icy darkness Kieran had rescued him from. That fear was mostly gone, especially since their spirit always knew where his mate was. Smiling to himself, he began making a list in his mind of what Kieran would love to see in Paris.
Jackson could sense the happiness and love in his twin; emotions that had been missing since their childhood, butnow resurrected and humming once again through their bond. And it was all due to Kieran. From the first time Jackson met him, it was clear he was special, but he didn’t realize how vital Kieran would be to Logan or to Jackson’s pack. But he knew now. Kieran strengthened the bonds of love between every member of the Blackwood Pack, making them unbreakable. Giving silent thanks to the Fates for the thousandth time for their gift of Kieran, Jackson rose, smiling at his brother. “I’ll tell Mac you and Kieran will be down to see him today.”
“Thanks,” Logan said, getting up. “Go…I’ll keep Queenie from flying the coop.”
“Good practice for you when you become a daddy,” Jackson replied, grinning as he slipped out the door.
