A silence fell over us as I refused to look away from him, even when I read the truth in his eyes.He knew it was me.

“What’s going on?Who is EAplus whatever?”Asher asked while Enzo and I continued to stare at each other.

“It seems our sweet little Violet created a Fan Cam page,” Enzo replied, steepling his fingers as he rested his elbows on the table.

“What?”Asher leaned back in his chair and let out a laugh.“You’re fucking kidding me, right?”

“Nope.I found it earlier after my live ended.”

“How did you know it was me?”I asked bashfully, feeling myself crawl back in the shell I was used to hiding in.

“I told you he was a geek,” Asher said as Enzo shrugged but refused to stop the grin that spread across his face.“You’d be surprised at the shit he can hack into.”

“You hacked into the system to find out who I was?”

“More or less.”

“I don’t get it.What gave it away?”I pressed, wanting to know where I had messed up.

“It was obvious pretty quickly because you were the only one who was asking me to include you in the content I posted.Everyone else was bitching and complaining about how jealous they were.”

I hung my head and shook it, hating that I hadn’t considered that.

“Don’t be embarrassed,” Enzo said softly.

“Too late for that,” I mumbled.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.Though I will say that it’s fucking hot to see you come out of your shell. If you’re more comfortable asking for stuff through my Fan Cam page, go for it.If you want to ask us face-to-face, we can do that, too.”

I shook my head and set my fork down when I realized how badly my hand was cramping from holding it.

“I still can’t believe you figured out it was me so fast.”

Enzo leaned forward and rested his arms on the table as he stared at me.

“Violet, we could be lost in the depths of outer space, confined to pure darkness, and I would still find you.”

“Okay, now I’m a bit worried about you being a stalker,” I joked, trying to make light of the situation so my heart would stop thumping against my chest.

“Stalker.Lover.Obsessed.They all track.”He shrugged but gave me the smile that could brighten my darkest days.

“I guess it’s pointless to try to keep things from you.I should have known you would figure it out.”

“I mean, I am the master of finding what I’m looking for.I’m also the master of getting information you don’t want me to have.Like, how your birthday is coming up next week, and you have yet to mention it.”

“Why would I mention it?”I asked, feeling a rush of nerves flood through me.

“Why wouldn’t you?”Asher frowned as he waited for my answer.

“I don’t know.I guess most people don’t go around broadcasting their birthdays?”I lifted my hands and shrugged.

“Maybe not, but you should,” Asher pressed.

“Why?”

“Why not?How are we supposed to celebrate you if we don’t know that it’s your birthday?”

“It’s just another day.”I looked down at the table, hoping they would let this go and not see the look on my face.
