It was oddly comfortablesitting on the couch with Violet curled up against Enzo’s chest while resting her legs on my lap.It felt like we were making whatever this was between the three of us into something more serious...Almost like an actual relationship.

“Sure,” she replied with a soft laugh.“I can’t remember the last time someone told me a bedtime story.”

“Or we can come in, and I can have the dessert we talked about earlier,” I said, not bothering to keep the desire out of my tone.
