“Aye?”
“I thought to protect you,” she rasped out.
Dari’s eyes welled with unshed tears. She looked away from Gio, feeling embarrassed and uncertain of herself for the first time. Everything she said was true, yet now did she feel daft for thinking she could protect Bazi much less a warrior full grown. Because of her actions, Gio had wed her to keep her from running again—a fate he likely no longer wished for yet was saddled to for the whole of his life.
“For a certainty,” Gio murmured, “’tis the most wondrous gift another has ever bestowed upon me.”
“Gio, please believe—” Dari’s head shot up. Her jaw dropped a wee bit. “I… it is?”
He stood up to his full seven feet and five inches. Wearing his black leathers that molded to the shape of his gigantic frame, he slowly walked towards her. She gulped again.
“I know everything,ty’ka—everything. I’ll explain it later, but for now just know for a certainty that if ‘twas said in the void then I heard it.”
Dari’s eyes rounded. “Then you also understand Bazi to be a boy-child I would protect with my life?” Might as well begin as she meant to go on. “Aye?”
Gio inclined his head. “As will I.” He continued his walk toward the raised bed.
“I would have him to be our son in truth.”
“As would I.”
The princess relaxed for the first time in as long as she could remember. She let out an audible sigh of relief. “I give you my thanks.”
His gaze, once dimmed, grew luminescent as he drank in the sight of her nakedness. She was sitting on her knees, looking every inch the dark goddess. He gazed o’er long at her full breasts afore trailing down lower to view her mons. ‘Twas hairless save one small strip.
Dari blushed. She knew most females in Trek Mi Q’an were bald there. “I inherited a wee patch from mymani. I hope ‘tis to your liking.”
Gio summoned off his own clothes in response. “You forget already that I have seen it afore?”
“Oh—aye.”
“Leastways, I love it.” The bed dipped from his weight. “I would that I could be gentle with you this eve, my hearts. Under normal circumstances, the Chief Priestess would be here to help with the claiming.”
She nodded her understanding. “’Twill hurt, will it not?”
His voice grew hoarse. “Mayhap a wee bit.” The palm of his hand gently caressed her face. “Yet there are things you can do to calm me so I don’t rut inside you like a beast.”
“Calm you?”
Gio let go of her face and took one of her hands in his afore settling it around his stiff cock. “Feel him,” he rasped. He was already nigh close to peaking. “Work your hand up and down him.”
Dari complied, slowly moving her hand from the tip to the root. The hissing sound he made in response let her know she was doing it right. Feeling emboldened, she started to stroke him a bit faster. The hiss became a groan. She worried her lip as she went faster still, wondering in silence how this huge man-root would ever fit inside of her.
“He will fit,” Gio panted. “I vow it.”
Ahh. The bridal necklace. She had momentarily forgotten it would convey her every emotion to him—and his every emotion to her.
Taking him at his word, Dari stroked him faster still. The sounds her touch elicited from him caused a knot of arousal to form in her own belly. She worked his man-root faster and faster, her breathing growing as heavy as his. When at last he burst and hot seed spurted from him, she watched his entire body cord and release.
She felt a power o’er him she’d never felt afore. ‘Twas heady.
“Did you truly feel you held no power o’er me onArakia?” Gio asked through steadying breaths.
Dari’s lips pinched together. This bridal necklace business was already proving to be a bit of a bother.
Gio laughed. Dari glowered back.
“Ahh my beautiful princess. Life with you ‘twill be enjoyable indeed.”
