“P…put me down…” He mumbled, swallowing to clear his throat. “You’re too deep…”

“We’re not done yet, pet.” He murmured. “What else did you say?”

“I-I don’t remember…” His voice broke. “Please…”

“You like it here.” Leviathan whispered back, ignoring his pleas. “You’rehappyhere. Say it.”

“No…”

He snarled and angled his hips before pressing deep again. Cullen let out a weak scream as he slammed into that sensitive spot inside of him, his cock quickly growing hard again as Leviathan pressed and pressed and–

“I’m happy!” He cried, clutching at Leviathan’s arms and thighs, anything he could reach while he was pinned like this. Slowly, Leviathan drew back, taking the pressure off that sensitive place inside at the same time that he removed his hand from his cock. Cullen sucked in a trembling breath and repeated, “I’m happy…here.” His legs shook. “I like it…”

“Good.” Leviathan whispered. And then he was moving again, his thrusts quick and hard, pressing Cullen up against the wall. He whimpered and groaned, short grunts of pain and pleasure escaping him as Leviathan pounded into him, his cock angling to hit that spot again until Cullen was seeing stars and clawing at the wall to keep himself grounded.

“Cullen.”

He twisted his head to the side with a soft whimper and Leviathan slammed his mouth down on his, his tongue diving deep into his mouth. Cullen moaned into the kiss and slid an arm up, grasping desperately at

Leviathan’s hair as their movements grew brutal and quick. A breathy curse left his lips and Leviathan snarled, one hand tightening on his thigh while the other curledaround his waist and squeezed.

“Mine.” Leviathan breathed into the kiss. “You’re mine…say it.” Cullen could have sworn it was a plea, that Leviathan’s gaze was soft, despite the harsh touches, the forcefulness.

The words came before he could stop them, his voice cracking a bit as it came out. “I’m yours.” He breathed, his fingers gripping tighter into his hair. “I’m yours.” Leviathan slammed his mouth down on his, a soft groan tearing from him as he shuddered and pressed closer, his cock throbbing inside of him. Cullen winced at the wetness that spread inside of him, his mouth falling open with a soft gasp as Leviathan began to move again, pumping into him more slowly than before. The sudden gentleness sent Cullen over the edge with a soft cry, his body jerking before it settled against Leviathan’s, his head falling back to his shoulder again.

The world quieted around them, nothing but the soft sounds of their breathing, their heartbeats.

“Let’s go back to bed for a little bit.” Leviathan whispered against his throat.

Cullen hesitated for a split second before mumbling a quiet agreement.

Soft fingers brushed his hair back from his sweaty forehead, tucked the short strands behind his ear. Cullen remained unmoving, his eyes on Leviathan’s sweaty collarbone.

He’d lost track of how many times they’d gone, but the sun had gone down a long time ago. The room was cast in those lovely shadows that called to his own; a few of them moving across the blanket, teasing their legs. Cullen paid them no attention, saying nothing as Leviathan traced the shape of his face with his fingertips. Over and over again, as if he were lost in the action.

They had spent the entire day in bed. The entire day wrapped up in each other while Leviathan made him admit over and over again that he was happy here, that he liked it. That he likedhim. Cullen had choked it out over and over again until they had been the only thoughts to pulse through his mind. Leviathan had not given him more than a few moments at a time to attempt to gather his thoughts, to tellhimself that he was lying, that he was only doing this for survival. It was never enough time, and he was sure Leviathan knew that.

And now that they’d finally stopped, he found that his voice was too hoarse to speak, and his body too weak to pull even a few inches away from Leviathan. Close enough to still hear his pounding heart. Close enough to smell the sweat on his skin and that sweet scent that clung to him. Close enough to share a breath. He swallowed hard, his mind finally starting to clear, but he could still not find his voice. So the minutes passed in silence until Leviathan finally spoke.

“Why lie?”

It took him too many seconds to finally meet his gaze. It was soft again. Warm. Sated. Cullen wasn’t sure he had ever lookedsatedafter their nights together before. It made a new ache spread through his chest.

“Tell me.” Leviathan urged quietly.

Didn’t he understand? Or was he not human enough for that?

“I…” His voice cracked, so he cleared his throat and tried again. “I don’t want…to like it.” He admitted weakly. “I don’t want…to be a demon.” He looked away from him. “But I do and I am and…” He hesitated. “It’s hard.”

A heavy silence. And then another gentle brush of his fingers before he took his face into his hands and pressed a kiss to his lips.

“I will make you forget,” he whispered against his lips. “That you were ever human.”

They’d barely pulled their clothes on before Leviathan had drawn him into one of those pools of shadows. The darkness wrapped around them, but it didn’t frighten him much anymore. Even the feeling of being nowhere and nothing, with that whipping wind around him…it wasn’t so bad. And with his hand firm on Leviathan’s arm, somewhere in that darkness where he could not see him, he did not feel afraid.
