“Just tell me.”

“No.”

Leviathan snarled softly. “You’re infuriating sometimes.” When Cullen said nothing, he sighed and tried again. “You can tell me things, Cullen. I won’t get angry.”

“It’s nothing.” He whispered, pressing back against the window to get away from him.

There was a pause.

“Did I frighten you?”

He hesitated, swallowing hard. “It-it…” He didn’t know what to say. Yes, it had been a little terrifying. A little unnerving, to see him be so cruel and come to him covered in blood but…there was that little part of him–maybe more than a little–that didn’t really care. That wasn’t scared, despite the blood on his face and hands, despite the malice in his eyes. Some quiet voice whispered that he wouldn’t hurt himand…Cullen believed it.

“No.” He said quietly. “It…it’s just…”

“Just?” He asked softly, angling his head so that their lips brushed together.

Cullen swallowed hard, his eyes fluttering closed. Leviathan brushed their lips together again and Cullen leaned into it, his hands moving to his sides to draw him closer.

“Are you kissing me to distract me?” Leviathan asked between kisses, his hands moving to his hips.

“No.” Cullen whispered, his hands sliding up into his hair. He wasn’t sure if it was a lie, only knew that heneededhim right now. Needed the smell and taste and feel of him.

Leviathan moaned softly into the kiss and brought his hands up to cup his face–and Cullen jerked away with a gasp, his eyes going wide in alarm.

“What is it?” Leviathan asked softly, his thumb brushing along his cheek.

Cullen’s eyes flicked down to his blood covered hands. Most of the blood had dried but not all of it. And the smell of it…

His stomach growled loudly and Leviathan smiled deviantly. “You’re hungry.”

“No.” He shook his head. “No, that’s not what I want–”

“It’s not?” His hand came up between them and Cullen felt that dark part of his brain lock in on the blood streaks, his body going tense and hot.

“Hmm…” Leviathan gave him a mischievous smile. “I was going to punish you a bit for having been so far away from me at the party, but maybe I'll reward you instead.”

“R…reward me?” He mumbled, his eyes not leaving his bloody hands. “What do you mean?”

Leviathan smiled and brought his hand closer to his face, his eyes staying on Cullen’s while he let that wicked pointed tongue slide out to lick at his fingers. Cullen heard himself inhale sharply.

Disgusted. He should be disgusted.

But his stomach gave a harsh snarl thatachedand Leviathan was moving his hand closer to his face and the scent of blood was overwhelming and–

He licked him, hard and slow, a wild moan escaping him as the flavor hit, his hand shooting up to latch onto Leviathan's wrist to hold him still.

Cotton candy. He thought in awe as he licked at the blood. Just like those delicious bubbly drinks–

“You called for me.” Leviathan whispered as Cullen cleaned the blood from his fingers. “You were in danger–and you called forme.” His hand came up, touching Cullen’s hair gently before lowering again. “That is why you deserve a reward.”

Cullen moaned softly again, slipping his tongue between his fingers. Something light and beautiful lifted in his chest at the taste, making everything around them glitter, as if the world had turned into a wicked, sparkling thing. Desire burned low and hot in his belly and had him gasping as Leviathan pressed him back against the window, his body flattening against his.

He leaned in, flicking his tongue against Cullen’s through his fingers, and Cullen’s hand shot up, clutching at his side to draw him closer. Their tongues met again. And again. He could taste the blood on him, mixed with that sweet taste and it instantly drew out another moan.

Leviathan made a similar sound and whipped his hand around to grab at his hair, yanking his head back as hismouth claimed his. Cullen groaned into the kiss, his tongue diving deep, but Leviathan pulled away again, his scent now thick with desire.

“You pushed her away.” He breathed, moving his hips in a slow circle so that they ground into his. Cullen hissed and clutched at his hip. “You fought the darkness. Why?”
