"Save it!" I hissed. Vick was the reminder of both of my biggest failures. I was about to overreact and get upset, but Sin's deadly gaze locked on me from across the way. "And my man is on his way back over here, so you better leave like I asked."
Vick excused himself, realizing I wasn't about to play nice with him.
Instead of Sin coming back to our table, he kept walking without even acknowledging me. What was more worrisome was that he was headed straight for Vick.
Jumping up from my seat, I followed behind Sin, trying to catch up with his long stride. Absolutely nothing needed to jump off tonight, especially with all these damn people in the building.
SIN
I couldn't keep my hands off Naomi. Shiidd, every time she moved, I fucking moved. Lil' baby had me sold with who she was, as is, but seeing her in that damn dress tonight had me ready to ditch this party and take her ass back home right the fuck now.
She had all her titties and legs out, looking like a fucking pinup poster. Knowing she was all mine had a smile as wide as Texas staring back at me in the restroom mirror. After handling my business and washing my hands, I headed out of the restroom and back to my woman.
It didn't take a split second for me to lay eyes on her. The nigga in her face had me seeing red, though. Growling, I instinctively knew that it was her bitch-ass ex by the look on my lady's face and the look on his.
My stride carried me across the club just as ol' dude got up from the table to walk off. Naomi's eyes locked with mine before I settled mine back on the nigga that had me seeing and smelling blood.
Passing the table where I'd been sitting with Naomi, I quickly caught up with ol' boy.
"Aye, bruh," I called. The music was loud as fuck, but he heard me. He turned around and smirked when he saw it was me calling him.
I stuck my hand out. "Jamison," I introduced myself, trying to remain cordial. If this was anywhere but there, this nigga would've met a different Sin.
"Victor," he replied with a soft ass handshake.
"Vick, huh," I responded. "I saw you talkin' to my lady. What can I help you with?"
"Nothing, man." He chuckled. "You can't be 'round here checking every man that talks to Naomi. That is what you're doing, right? Trying to check me?"
His Jeoffrey-talking ass was about to get popped in his shit. I stepped closer to him, making sure he saw the crazy in my eyes.
"I'ain tryna do shit — I am. Keep ya muhfuckin' ass away from my woman. It ain't gon' be no other warnings." Just then, I felt Naomi's hand sliding into mine.
"Babe," she said, "let's go back to our table."
Vick chuckled as his eyes traveled Naomi's body. I stepped closer.
"Let me make something very clear," I directed to Vick. "I'ain one of those niggas that's gon' play 'bout her. Take my threat lightly if you want to. Ya mama gon' be missin' her fuckin' son."
"Sin," Naomi chided.
"Yeah, I hear you," Vick answered. He didn't give any last looks to Naomi before he turned and blended in with the crowd.
"Babe, really?" Naomi whined. She'd never whined before, causing me to laugh.
"Hell, yeah, really. That nigga had no fuckin' business being in ya face."
"He didn't say anything crazy," she defended, making me cock my head. She tugged my beard, bringing my lips to hers. "You know I don't give a fuck about him. My man is right here, giving me everything I've ever wanted and more."
I brought her into my arms and relaxed the mug on my face.
"I'm not gon' play about you," I reiterated. "I'on give a fuck who it is."
"I'm not gonna play about you either," she informed me while wrapping her arms around my neck.
"And I love that about you," I said. Naomi's face transformed into one of shock. Leaning down, I kissed her parted lips.
Naomi was still speechless as I led her back to our table. She spent the rest of the party quietly observing me. My touch, kisses, and presence told her everything she needed to know. I wasn't going any-damn-where.
