“Did you sleep with Fia last night?” she asked, shocking the living fuck out ofeveryone, even Dad who knew the fucking truth.
“F-F-Fia?” Kaia squeaked.
“Fia!” Mom snarled. “The blonde who wants to die. Who I will watch die if she hurts Rebel. That one. Now answer me.”
Kaia looked at CJ for guidance, but he didn’t know what the fuck to say, so CJ looked at Dad. AndDad? He looked at motherfucking Diesel. No one, absolutely no one, was prepared for Mom’s confrontation.
“Your silence says everything,” Mom declared, then looked at Dad. “I want Fia dead, Christopher.Today.”
“No! Wait!” Kaia was pale and wide-eyed.
Fuck, so was CJ. So waseveryone. Except Mom. She was livid.
“I d-d-d-didn’t sleep with Fia. Or n-n-n-n-no one. I swear.”
“Bro, you didn’t come home last night,” Ryder said. “We looked at the footage because we were trying to figure out how late Bishop got home to decide how violently we needed to wake him up. We didn’t see Diesel, Bishop, Jana or Kaia come home. When we looked, the only activity we saw was Dad leaving this morning.”
“You told your ma?” Dad asked, sidling careful glances at Mom.
“Yeah, Dad,” Ransom said. “Axel was everywhere. He told us he heard Fia saying how much she liked Kaia and wanted him for herself.”
Mom glowered. “Axel was the one who brought the rumor to you?”
“Yeah, Mom,” Ryder answered. “His intel is good.”
Fuck, why the fuck did that enrage Mom?
“Megan? Baby?”
She ignored Dad. “Axel heard Fia say she hated Rebel?”
“That was really a rumor, Mom,” Ransom told her. “It might’ve been from one of those stupid girls.”
“Yeah, it was,” Ryder confirmed. “But they said they hate Jana, too. That wasn’t because of RebelorJana. It’s because of Diesel.”
Torrin raised his hand like a jackass.
“What?” Mom growled, not up for the bullshit.
“It was about Fia, but it can wait,” Torrin told her.
CJ had an idea what he was going to say, but he refused to speak on that bitch’s behalf. Fia knew Kaia and Rebel were ‘together’ and she still fucked with him.
“Fia’s popular, Aunt Meggie,” Diesel said.
“So was Nyx. She’s been replaced,” Mom said. “You’ll find Fia’s replacement.”
“Megan, baby, you really want that bitch death on your conscience?” Dad asked her.
“No. Luckily it won’t be.”
Dad sagged in relief.
“Once she’s dead, I won’t think about her again,” Mom told him.
“How about I do my own intel?” Dad said. “If I find out anything that can hurt Rebel, I’ll kill her or any other bitch. But let me decide.”
“Christopher, hear me well. I’ll concedethistime. Rebel ismydaughter. I won’t haveanyonehurting her in any capacity. If there’s a threat to her, I want them eliminated.”
