She thumbed through the pages. “If I hear that bitch’s name, I will knock you out myself.”

Fuck, Christopher didn’t knowwhothe fuck to look at with that comment, so he gazed at Mort, Bash, andJohnnie, finding them as fucking shocked as he was. It wasn’t a secret how much Kendall adored Charlotte.

Without waiting for anyone to comment, she began reading the terms of the agreement. The streamlined document Diesel created simplified the details, but the formal one seemed endless. It outlined the expectations of both clubs, including territory, money, and disputes. It acknowledged Bash as one of Cee Cee’s sons and Tio as Cee Cee’s grandsons. Because of Easton’s special circumstances, his relationship to any of the Caldwells was kept under wraps. She’d included everything from Easton patching over to Diesel reconciling with Tabitha to access to the club. She’d limited Christopher and the Dwellers and Bash and the Scorpions to the main rooms of the respective clubhouses, unless invited for an express purpose. The Dwellers and Scorpions were separate entitiesand neither club had claim to the other under any circumstances.

There was a long list of violations and penalties put in place to protect the peace agreement for the foreseeable future. Only the most egregious abuses meant immediate war.

Christopher had never been prouder of Kendall. He wished Megan could’ve seen her, although even if she’d been home, she wouldn’t have been invited to the meeting. He thought he saw Johnnie stick out his chest in pride and Mort beamed at her.

“We will load the documents on a secure server. I will provide a password protected link to Bash and Outlaw, and their officers. If anyone would like to read the signed contracts, please contact your presidents or their club officers. Any questions?”

“What happens if one of them kills one of our women?” Chip asked. “Does that break the agreement? Will Outlaw avenge them?”

Christopher growled, unable to fucking believe that motherfucker…

No, fuck him. The next time he saw that assfuck, he’d shoot the fuck out of him. He’d counted on Chip and several motherfuckers, and they’d allowed Johnnie to turn them.

“If either side is responsible for the death of a man or woman, it breaks the agreement,” Kendall said calmly. “However, a death that’s designed to terminate the contract will result in punishment toward the instigator. Again, gentlemen, this is the peace agreement you wanted. I worked out the best deal that I could on behalf of Outlaw and Bash as Cee Cee’s sons. They want peace. My job was to facilitate that.Yourjob is to uphold it. If there’s no other questions, the agreements can be signed, first between Bash and Outlaw, and then Bash, Outlaw, and Diesel, and finally between Bash, Outlaw, and Easton.”

“Easton won’t be released from the hospital until tomorrow,” Bash said.

“Why does Diesel have to sign?” Burger called.

“Because he has to give his marriage another shot for the next six months,” Kendall answered.

Diesel gritted his teeth, but the motherfucker knew that was coming, so Christopher ignored him.

“Is there any reason why Diesel’s marriage to Tabitha is tied into the peace agreement?” Torrin asked.

“Bash’s sister, Celia, knows Tabitha,” Kendall answered. “She is looking out for Tabitha’s interests. Bash wants Celia happy, so it’s a part of the deal.”

“At Diesel’s expense,” Narci said.

“That isn’t my fucking problem,” Kendall retorted. “He married that bitch. Let him fucking deal with her.”

“Tabitha is a saint,” Tio said. “Diesel should be lucky she gave him the time of day.”

“Tabitha is a fucking bitch, whom I detest,” Kendall replied. “I would’ve done a fucking happy dance if I could’ve drummed her out of the fucking family.”

Once all the documents, except Easton’s, were signed, Christopher adjourned the meeting and ordered the video feeds disabled. Bash, Val, Stretch, Mortician, and Diesel all congratulated and complimented Kendall, although the two clubs still refused to mingle and sat on different sides of the room.

There was still one more order of business to get to, so Christopher snatched the microphone and spoke into it.

“Now, fuckhead, what the fuck your bitch did to Kendall?” he asked Brooks, who’d been brooding in that fucking chair.

Kendall was basking in the attention now, but later, when she was alone, whatever the fuck Charlotte said would haunt her.

Brooks turned bleak eyes to Kendall. “I’m so sorry, my dear.”

“I’m done with your wife, Brooks,” Kendall said. It didn’t come out as cold as she tried to make it sound, judging by the look on her face. “If she visits you at the office, I don’t want her to darken my door.”

Johnnie put an arm around her. “What did Charlotte do to you, Kendall?”

Her sadness and pain returned, but she forced herself to smile. “It doesn’t matter,Johnnie. Just…” She pursed her lips. “We’ve settled the matter.”

Diesel glowered at Brooks.

“Kendall, we need to get ready for all the DNA tests and results tomorrow,” Christopher told her. Once she was gone, he’d get to the bottom of what the fuck Charlotte said. “It’s important and I know there are a lot of birth certificates to go through to match with the results.”
