“We’ll shower in a minute,” Shotgun whispered.

“Yeah, and change the sheets, again!” Rain replied wryly. Shotgun began to laugh. Fuck, he loved this man.

Allegra

I wore a pretty dress, and the kids were dressed neatly. For how long, I’d no idea, but when their fathers arrived, they were clean for now.

Both Rain and Shotgun kissed me on the lips, which gave me pause for a moment, but I let it go. We all chatted on the way to the restaurant, and I was relieved it was a family one. Within minutes of arriving, a waitress seated us at the table and we ordered.

“Why don’t you two go play?” Shotgun suggested, pointing to the soft play area. Wade and Darcy needed no encouragement. They shot off like bats out of hell. I glanced around, and although the restaurant was busy, there wasn’t anyone placed near us.

“Yeah, we’ve been put in the naughty corner,” Shotgun drawled, amused.

“Huh?” I asked, surprised.

“Didn’t you see the look the waitress gave us when we entered? She was unsure what a biker was doing in a family restaurant. And since then, three more families have walked in, and she’splaced them all over there. There are loads of rooms here, but she’s intent on cramming that side first,” Shotgun replied.

“Wow, I never noticed.”

“With Hellfire, you get one of two outcomes. People who are terrified and think you’re a danger, so you’re isolated from the mainstream, normal folk. Or they see the cut, remember our role two years ago and want to be seen with us, thinking it will bump their credibility.”

“That’s disgusting!” I snapped, shocked.

“That’s life and… oh shit,” Rain broke off and swapped a glance with Shotgun. Rain looked a little worried, but Shotgun didn’t. He folded his arms, and his expression settled into a glare.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Remember, I told you about Rowena, the bitch before you, who was using us?” Rain asked. I nodded. “That’s Rowena there.”

A gorgeous woman was sitting down with a toddler. She smiled at the waitress and then looked at her watch. Appeared the person she was meeting was late. Rowena was honestly stunning, but I didn’t feel inadequate beside her. I wasn’t as beautiful, but I was pretty enough. Rowena must have felt us watching because she glanced up, and her mouth opened in an O.

Amused, I snorted and turned my gaze away.

“I wanted to ask you some questions while they’re playing,” I began, looking at Rain. Shotgun deliberately moved his chair so his attention was focused on me.

“Ones little ears shouldn’t hear?” Shotgun inquired, and I nodded.

“Yes, I…” I stopped as a shadow fell over me.

“Hello,” Rowena said with a smile at the table.

“What do you want?” Shotgun demanded, ignoring the greeting.

I hid a smirk because that had flustered Rowena.

“You mind? We’re trying to have a family dinner,” Shotgun snarled.

“How are you, Rain?” Rowena questioned, laying a hand on his shoulder. Rain shrugged it off.

“Good, thanks, what about you?” he asked and winced as Shotgun glared. Poor Rain and his manners!

“Glad to hear that. I’m well, thank you. Hi there, I’m Rowena,” she stated, putting a hand out. I shook it briefly and let go.

“Allegra,” I replied.

“The mother of our children,” Shotgun took aim, fired, and boom. A hit.

“You have kids? How lovely. How many?” Rowena asked weakly.
