“Yes. Yes, Everett. Forever,” I pant between thrusts.
“Fuck, you feel so good.”
Suddenly he rolls, taking me over on top of him. He kisses me deeply as he thrusts up into me. Then he presses me up.
“Fuck me, Ginger.”
I do. I ride him, our gazes locked, as our bodies tighten and climb together.
“God,Everett. Yes.”
“Ginny!”
I come one second before he does, every inch of my body tightening, coiling, heating, and then expanding.
“Everett!”
He roars my name again, gripping my hips hard as he fills me up.
I collapse forward, loving the feel of him pressing up into me. He wraps his arms around me, and I tuck my head against his neck, letting the pleasure wash over me as I breathe him in, feel him everywhere, realize thatthisis what I want.
Not the sex. Well, not just the sex. Being loved and cherished, being more important to someone than anything else. Being more important than anything else tothis man.
This is more important than the job. Than any job.
CHAPTER 16
GINNY
We makelove three more times.
Then we, obviously, sleep in the next morning.
I open my eyes slowly and roll to my back, stretching luxuriously before looking at the clock.
It’s almost nine-thirty.
I never sleep this late. As I sit up and become aware that I’m alone in the bed, I also note that the shower just shut off in the ensuite bathroom.
I take a deep, happy breath. I’m waking up with Everett.
We haven’t done this. I snuck out the first morning after.
But I’m not going anywhere this time.
This is the beginning of wonderful, new things.
He steps out from the bathroom with a towel around his waist.
He grins when he sees me awake. “You missed your flight.”
I lift a shoulder. “There are perks to sleeping with the boss.”
I freeze.
Everett lifts a brow.
Did I just joke about the thing that I’ve spent months swearing was what was keeping us apart?
