I slumped back against the wall, breathing heavily and looking at the vision in front of me. Hel rocked back on her heels and met my gaze as she licked her lips tantalisingly slowly, the image only making me want more.
"Better than dessert?" she asked with a knowing grin.
"I think I'm going to need more convincing," I murmured.
She laughed as she got to her feet. "I'll convince you all night."
"There's something I want to do first," I responded.
She raised an eyebrow, but undid the zipper of her dress as if she knew what I was thinking. It slipped to the floor, revealing her to me, especially when her bra and panties followed. Hel wasn't shy about getting what she wanted, and that was obvious from the way she did everything.
Not that I minded. She was a goddess worth worshipping.
I shrugged off my shirt, not caring where it fell. I'd deal with that in the morning. I had only one thought on my mind, and that was making Hel feel as good as she'd made me.
She lay down on the bed, and I got on next to her so that I was hovering over her. She closed the gap and kissed me deeply, full of want and need, only intensified by the taste of me on her lips.
I pulled back and met her gaze as I trailed my hand over her body, tweaking her nipple and getting a little mew in response. I repeated the motion, knowing that it was making her needier by the way she bucked underneath me.
I moved my touch further down, passing the smooth skin of her stomach and dipping between her legs, only half surprised to discover just how ready for this she was.
She looked up at me with a knowing glint in her eyes. "It was hot when you came."
"I can tell." I teased her entrance, going as slowly as I could, but feeling a little impatient for her to fall apart in my arms.
I kept her gaze as I pushed two fingers inside her, feeling a little smug when her eyes fluttered closed, and her mouth moved into an o-shape. I curled my fingers up into her and positioned my thumb so that it would press against her clit, getting a moan from her in response.
She ground herself against my hand, needy and desperate. Just where I wanted her. I pressed more firmly, and I could tell she was gone as she tightened around my fingers and began to push herself up against time. A loud groan escaped her, a beautiful and satisfying sound, one that I wanted to hear more of. And I would. This was hardly going to be the end of tonight.
Hel reached down and grabbed my wrist, holding me in place as the pleasure ripped through her, and she let out a long groan before collapsing down onto the pillows. I held my hand in place for a few moments longer, wanting to prolong the sensations for as long as possible.
"I'm not the only one who is good with my hands," Hel murmured.
I laughed. "I never said you were. I'm good with other things too." I leaned back and held out my arm so she could cuddle.
"I hope to find out."
"I intend for you to." I leaned in and kissed her forehead, even though it was a new thing to do. Still, it felt right.
"Never mind tonight, I might be staying all of tomorrow too," she murmured as she curled up in my arms.
"You can if you want," I responded, letting out a satisfied sigh and sinking back into the pillow. Tomorrow was going to be a good day, especially when it meant the start of a relationship with Hel. This wasn't how I'd expected things to go when Daisy had said she'd introduce me to Hel, or when we'd had our original night together, but I looked forward to discovering what the future held for us.
Epilogue
CLARA
I was hosting a dinner party with a death goddess, and I could safely say that was something that had never shown up on any of my plans for how my life would go. But I loved it.
Hel moved around the dining room with Garmr trotting by her heels. It was amazing how fast he'd grown over the last few months, but she'd assured me that was entirely usual. Maybe it was a hellhound thing, or it could be a dog thing. Despite always having wanted one, I actually didn't know a lot about puppies.
"Everything looks great," I said to Hel as I admired the table.
"I know. I have great place settings."
"Is there anything you're not confident about?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I've had about seven hundred years to find the confidence, I'm not about to let anyone take it. You don't let anyone tell you that you make bad potions," she pointed out.
