Not that I thought the sex would prompt him to just set me free, but still. It feels weird. To have hooked up with aWarden…
This man in a position of power who literally holds the key to my freedom.
Now I know how the inmates in the Pen feel.
“Pajarito,” he hums, softly commanding.
I gulp again. “Hm?”
His gaze narrows while I fight not to fidget. I totally feel like he can read my thoughts right now, and I really don’t want him to.
“How about we make a deal?” He hums over my lips, holding me in place by my jaw. “Come on a date with me.” My lashes flutter up at him, and he grins. “Here in the mansion. We’ll have to stay upstairs, because of everything going on. But I would like you to come… to my room.” He clears his throat. “To my floor. With me.”
I feel like I’m floating away. “Really?”
He nods animatedly. “We can have dinner. Maybe watch a movie…”
He frowns, like he can’t believe he’s actually saying these words. I can’t help the deranged giggle it pulls out of me.
Oh my God, he’s so cute.
This is terrible.
“The Ivory wants to have dinner and a movie with me?” I bite my lip.
He makes this petulant little face. But then his throat dips and he nods. “Yes, please.”
The way he’s visiblynervousasking me out feels like maybe he doesn’t do this often. Or ever. It’s the cutest, sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
So I nod.
And he lights right up. “Yea?”
“Sure,” I whisper. “I will go on a date with you, Manuel Blanco.”
His face looks like it might break in half, but he’s clearly trying to downplay it as he grumbles, “Good.”
“Good.” I scrunch my face into a mocking scowl, to which he laughs.
“That’s enough out of you, pajarito.” He presses one more kiss on my lips. “I’ll… see you tomorrow night then?”
I nod again. “I’ll need you to pick me up.”
He gives me a scolding look, and I chuckle again, biting my lip as he winks and turns to follow a visibly impatient Kent.
“Okay, well… bye,” I chirp.
“Fuck me… Dios,” he breathes, stomping back to the bed to kiss my lips four more times. “I promise I’ll be thinking about you, baby… All night.”
“Mhm…” I mewl. I’m dizzy and my brain feels like it’s made of cotton candy and rainbows.
“Until I see you again,” he whispers. “For ourdate.”
I purse down my grin, forcing a roll of my eyes that makes him laugh.
“You already agreed! There’s no going back now, beautiful Angel.” He’s literally about to walk into the bars.
“Diablo… Jesus,” I chuckle, shaking my head.
