It wants to ravish her—rip her clothes off and yank her down on my aching cock.
Because it is—aching, I mean.
I don’t know when it went from soft to erect again, but it’s damn well trying to burst out of my pants right now.
“And why would I want to do something silly like that?” Dalia asks, taking a step toward him. Her smile only grows when he takes a step back. They continue until Steel’s back is pressed against the island counter, but Dalia doesn’t stop there.
No, she continues to step forward as Steel raises his arms as if to ward her off. “No. Stop. Don’t touch me.”
Her smile falters for a moment, her head tilting to the side as she considers him. “Are you only saying that because you killed me?”
“Of course he’s saying it because we killed you,” Blaze yells, stepping toward her. “I’m really fucking glad you’re alive—like over the moon ecstatic—but we’re never touching again. Fated mates or not, we can’t take that chance.”
She rolls her eyes. “I’ll be fine as long as all three of you don’t touch me at once. I’m pretty sure two of you at once will be fine, but I don’t want to traumatize you further, so we won’t chance that.”
My hands clench at my sides as her eyes find me. I’m afraid I’ll reach out to her.
“Don’t make me beg, Titan. I’m alive and still breathing. You can see that.”
I nod slowly before forgetting she can’t see my head. “I can see that, but what if you and your sisters are wrong? What if you die because we touched you for too long?”
“I won’t.”
“You don’t know that,” I tell her, stepping around the counter and stopping about five feet away from her. “You can’t guarantee that.”
She nods. “You’re right. I can’t guarantee it, but my gut is telling me as long as all three of you aren’t touching me at once, I’ll be fine. Your powers aren’t strong enough to kill me unless it’s all three of you. Plus, you just watched my sisters bring me back. It’s not like death is permanent for me.”
“That doesn’t fucking matter,” Blaze growls, and I lift my eyebrows.
Where did my golden retriever lover go? He’s acting more like me and Steel right now.
The smile falls off her face as she turns to face him, taking a hesitant step toward him, but he doesn’t move away. He’s too angry, too distressed, and too overwhelmed to think about what touching her will do right now.
Until her hand lands on his chest, and his eyes widen in horror. He tries to take a big step backward, but she just follows him—her hand never moving away from his chest.
“I don’t care how long I have to stand here while touching you—I will show you that one of you alone won’t kill me.” She glances over her shoulder. “I know you want me. I know you feel the bond between us, and I’m not willing to give that up. So, get with the program and believe me. Until then, I’ll stand here touching Blaze.”
I’m practically holding my breath as she not only continues to touch him, but moves closer until her body is flush with his.
Blaze’s eyes fall shut as he shudders. I can’t see his cock from here since Dalia’s blocking my view, but I know he’s just as hard as I am.
I don’t know how much time passes—it somehow feels both like seconds and like hours pass until Blaze ducks down to kiss her.
I turn to Steel. “Are we really doing this?”
“I…I don’t know.” He shakes his head. “I don’t think this is a decision I can make for us. Blaze appears to have made his decision, but we’re going to have to decide on our own.”
Blaze has definitely made his choice as he lifts her in the air, her legs locking around his hips, and starts down the hallway toward our shared bedroom.
“I don’t think I can stay away,” I admit.
He doesn’t answer me right away as we watch the pair until they disappear.
“I don’t think I can either.”
Well, shit.
I guess we are doing this.
