I’m sitting by the island and sipping on my first cup of coffee for the day when I hear the front door open.

“Yes, I’ll be back on set tomorrow afternoon,” I hear Easton say. “Okay. Talk to you later.”

I quickly place the mug down, and darting to my feet, I run toward the foyer. When Easton comes into view, I let out a happy shriek before throwing myself at him.

Chuckling, he lifts me off my feet, giving me a tight hug.

“God, I missed you,” I say before I start kissing him with all the longing I’ve felt. The past two weeks he’s been in New Mexico for filming have been way too long.

Between kisses, he murmurs, “I’ve missed you too.” Keeping me pinned to his body with one arm, he walks deeper into the house. “Lainey?”

“Sleeping,” I mumble, eager to devour my husband’s mouth.

We got married on New Year’s Day and spent a wonderful week in Bali for our honeymoon. Since then, Easton has been working on his new movie, spending most of his time away from home.

It wasn’t easy at first, but he makes an effort to fly back every two weeks so we don’t have to go months without seeing him.

I’m carried into the guest restroom because we won’t make it to the bedroom. After kicking the door shut, Easton pins me against the nearest wall.

When I begin to shove my leggings down, he pulls down the zipper of his pants. We desperately reach for each other, and he lifts me off my feet again. I quickly wrap my legs around him, and when he enters me with one hard thrust, I moan into his mouth.

Yes. God, yes.

Easton takes me hard and fast, and when my orgasm hits, he muffles the sounds escaping me by kissing the ever-loving crap out of me. His body jerks against mine, and I savor the groan rumbling from his chest.

He thrusts twice more inside me before stilling, and with our foreheads pressed together, we lock eyes.

“Fuck, that felt good,” he says breathlessly. “Lucky for me, I get to spend tonight at home, so we can continue this later.”

“I look forward to it.” When he pulls out of me, my body shudders, and it makes him grin. After being together for close to a year, he still loves how sensitive I am for him.

We take a few seconds to clean up and get dressed before we leave the restroom.

“I was busy having coffee. Can I make you a smoothie?” I ask.

He shakes his head. “I’ll have coffee as well.”

While I prepare the beverage, he asks, “How is Lainey doing?”

“She’s okay.” I place his coffee in front of him before sitting down on a stool. It’s been exactly a year since Rachel was taken from us, and Lainey’s understandably sad.

We’re all sad, but we’ve decided to celebrate Rachel today. That’s why Easton came home.

“At least it looks like it will be a nice day for a barbeque,” he mentions.

“God, I’ve been craving your grilled steaks.”

“I hope it’s not all you’ve been craving,” he teases me with a smirk.

“I just jumped you the second you walked into the house, so that craving has been satisfied for the time being.”

He lets out a chuckle. “You can welcome me home like that any time.”

“Uncle Easton,” Lainey shouts as she comes flying down the stairs. “You’re home!”

“Of course. I told you I’d be back in time.” He climbs to his feet to hug her before pushing her back so he can look at her. “How have you managed to grow so much since I last saw you?”
