“Loose morals? Is that what you’re saying?” Tiffany burst out laughing.

“You don’t have much to laugh at. I love you, but you’re the first one who should be drinking,” remarked Taylor, looking at her best friend. “And you two too.” She pointed at Poppy and Amelia, who didn’t move a muscle.

“Nobody’s gonna drink if you keep acting like a bitch, you know that, right? And most of all, it’s not fun,” slurred James before biting another cookie.

Ari obviously didn’t let her win. She didn’t drink despite the insults. Her eyes got teary, and even though she’d cheated on Brian, I was sad to see her like this. She was about to break down in front of everyone.

“I’m a sadist, and I only have fun when I see people suffer.” Will’s voice thundered throughout the room, which fell silent. Did he seriously come to Ari’s defense?

“Oh, I got one, I got one. I’ve carried a torch for Ari since I was sucking on my mom’s tit. All of you stop. How many of you have to drink here?” asked Taylor, looking around her.

James shrugged, while a few guys took shots. Even Tiffany. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Will, sitting next to me, remained unmoved.

I let out sigh of relief, but then I thought about it again. It was a stupid game, and Will had promised me he wouldn’t drink.

What if she really was the girl he’d always been in love with?

“At least I have the balls to do it.” complained Tiffany.

“There are some fakers here, Will? You can drink water too. But you have to drink.”

William’s behavior hadn’t gone unnoticed by Taylor, and what she’d just said confirmed my doubts.

Ari was the girl Will had told me about. How did I not see it before?

She’d never tell me, and probably Will wouldn’t either. There was only one person who would’ve told me the truth. I looked at James, and he immediately looked down when he noticed.

Bingo.

“Just the truth? This sucks! Drink or nothing?” Marvin said at some point, but Taylor rolled her eyes.

“Don’t be a pain, it’s more fun like this.”

“I’d like to see June and Ari go inside.”

“Go watch a porno and don’t mess around.” James cut off him before throwing a drink back, followed by Tiffany and Marvin, as if the statement was still a part of the game.

“There are only four guys playing. The girls are the majority, so mathematically speaking, we’d all end up making out with each other and have to put on a show just to satisfy—” Poppy tried to say her part, but Tiffany shut her up immediately.

“Shh, shut up. In this case, it isn’t adding up.”

“I’m just saying that it’s not worth it. Otherwise I’d say,I wanna see James and Will make out,” explained Poppy. “Or maybe James and Jax.”

“Already seen. Weak. You’re not missing anything,” declared Taylor haughtily.

My eyes darted quickly to Blaze, who went as white as a sheet.

“Or James and Brian,” another girl suggested.

Brian’s nervous laugh informed me that he’d just come back in.

“What the fuck are you laughing at?” James tensed up.

The dark-haired guy narrowed his eyes. “I’m laughing because I bet that you’d like it too.” A chill fell over the room in a second.

“Try to come near me, and I’ll kill you,” threatened James, broadening his shoulders as if his stature wasn’t intimidating enough already.

“Oh yeah? Let me see.”
