“You deserve more than that, but I’m afraid if I go all the way I might kill you,” I spat. “I can’t have that because your daughter needs you.” I continued to glare down at her. “When life is done chewing you up and spits you out, don’t come looking for me because I don’t have anything left for you, Gwendolyn. You want me and Keona out of your life for good, you got it.”

With that, I turned and walked away. Makhai tried pulling me into a hug, but I snatched away.

“Don’t touch me! Just take me home.”

After slamming the door, I gave my sister, who was still sitting in the doorway looking as stupid as she was, one last look before turning away. I was done with her.

For good.

TWENTY-FIVE

Loco.

“This girl want me to kick her mothafuckin’ ass,” I hissed, hanging up the phone when I got her voicemail again.

“Ay, Lord, lock in,” Prynce said, hitting my chest. I glanced up from my phone, noticing the run-down house we were sitting in front of. “Here.”

He handed me a tablet that displayed the video the drone was recording. I’d given the shit a few weeks, long enough in my book to let them think that shit was sweet, but now that shit was done. All of them pigs down at ACPD were gon’ be national news.

My eyes were trained on the countdown in the bottom corner of the screen until it hit zero. The corners of my lips lifted into a smile when I watched the building explode. It had been hard as fuck to catch the crew that was working the night I was arrested on the same shift after threatening Collin’s little bitch ass, but Kyng worked his magic and got an inside man to make the shit happen. Thankfully ACPD was only a holding facility, so they transported anyone that they arrested.

After that part of the business was done, I handed the tablet back to Prynce then focused on the house in front of me. I wasstill tight as fuck because Diamond was ignoring my calls, but I’d deal with that when I went to pull up on her ass once I was done.

“Aight, the heat signature got like six niggas in there. How you tryna do this shit?”

I smirked at Prynce. Since his ass had gotten married, he wasn’t out terrorizing the streets like I was anymore, but he’d invested hella money in all the new toys and shit his ass had like the drone he had flying over the police station. We hadn’t ever pulled up on niggas and used no fucking heat signature, so the shit was lowkey comedic seeing it.

“Heat signature?” I chuckled. “Who you? James Bond now, Lord?”

“No, nigga, I’m just trying to get the shit over as quick as possible,” he replied. “You should have been ended these niggas. Let me find out you been slippin’.”

“Fuck out of here,” I waved him off and laughed. “I was on a whole tour, mothafucka.”

“And? Yo’ ass basically live here now, so don’t give me that,” he smirked. “You don’ fell in love and suddenly this shit don’ took a backseat to that.” I got ready to reply and decline the idea, but he stopped me. “Ain’t shit wrong with that. You wild as fuck, so I’m glad you found someone to slow yo’ ass down. I need you to live forever with me nigga.”

I chuckled lowly before replying, “I’m gon’ do that shit regardless, Lord. You know it’s me, you, and Jay ‘til this shit over.”

“Facts, but a nigga need some nieces and nephews, so once we handle this, cool out for a minute. Let the lil’ niggas wreak havoc for a while.”

“Aight, Lord, I hear you,” I chuckled. “We can go catch some bodies now or you got more of ya lil’ pep talk?”

“Fuck you, bruh,” he laughed, turning his attention back to his screen. “How you wanna do this?”

“Just wanna go in there and smoke the niggas for real,” I admitted. “Diamond ain’t been answering for me in two days. I need to push up on her.”

“Ah hell, what you do nigga?”

“Nothing,” I shook my head. “She had to deal with some shit with her sister, so she might be in her feelings about that, but I’m pullin’ up when we done so I can make it clear she can have her space but she still gon’ pick up that fuckin’ phone when I call.”

“On Lord,” Prynce agreed. “Come on, let’s get this shit over with so you can go see about sis.”

Nodding, I tossed the tablet and my phone on the backseat then grabbed the guns. We checked the clips and shit before getting out and making our way in. It was just me and P since the season had started for Jay. We also didn’t bring any of the lil’ Lords with us because I didn’t think we needed them. I learned from the beginning that these Crimson niggas were weak. The leader hid in the shadows, and he put his flesh and blood on the front line to be the first niggas to die.

He’d gotten a little sense since I murked them niggas at that motel though because I hadn’t seen the other brother since then. Frog checked the bodies out after they’d been cleaned up the night we lit they’re lil’ hangout spot up and Slim wasn’t one of them. It was straight though because we’d found their address after doing some digging, and from the looks of the shit, they likedalldirty shit. They never looked like much of anything when I saw the niggas out and the spots they frequented were all run down.

After confirming that the guns were good, the two of us climbed out of the car and made our way toward the house. There were a few lights on, and I could hear the T.V. Prynce checked his lil’ shit and confirmed that two niggas were in the living room, so I picked the lock and quietly pushed the door open. The door did squeak a little, but they appeared to beasleep, so they didn’t move. Shit was better for me because not only did I not want to waste a lot of time on them, but they also weren’t who I was there for.

Prynce and I went ahead and sent the two on the couch on to an eternal sleep since the niggas were already knocked out then made our way through the house.
