“This is fun.”

“Dancing?” Ben asks, turning his head to look at me.

“Drinking,” I say, laughing. “But yeah, dancing too.”

He digs his phone out of his pocket, then smiles. “Look.”

Cotton Candy

I talked Darcy into abandoning his paper. We’reon the way.

My heart thumps. “Hell yes.”

Ben gestures to the booth. “Let’s go sit down.”

I nod, taking his offered hand, and he leads me back to the booth. West stands when he sees us coming, then lets us slide in before taking his seat again.

“We could have sat on the end,” Ben says.

“Yeah, but then I wouldn’t be able to make a hasty escape. I’m just waiting on Darcy to tell me when he leaves Parker’s.”

I almost can’t fight my grin, but I quite like the idea of letting West have a little surprise.

“Oh, come on. Hang out with us for a little while longer,” Devon says, beating me to it.

West huffs. “Alright, fine.” He glances down at his phone. “Thirty minutes, and that’s all I’m gonna give you.”

He’s whipped, but I love it, and I can’t say I’m any better off.

The door opening catches my attention, and Parker and Darcy come through it. Parker finds us immediately, and their eyes light up.

Ben nudges West, and when he sees Darcy, he lets out a little gasp, then jumps out of the booth, rushing across the room to Darcy and Parker. He picks Darcy up, spinning him around and planting a kiss on his mouth.

Parker’s watching them with a soft smile, but when Darcy says something, it falls away, and their nose scrunches in the most adorable way before they say something back.

The three of them make their way to our table, and when they’re standing beside it, West gestures broadly. “These are the guys. Landon, Devon, and Levi. You know Ben, of course. This is Darcy, my boyfriend.”

We all wave, but I can’t drag my eyes away from Parker. Ben must be in the same boat. “Hey, Park,” he says, then pats his thigh. The invite is impossible to miss, but who knows if Parker will take him up on it.

I don’t have to wonder for long because they slide into the booth and climb right into Ben’s lap.

I lean in close, keeping my voice down. “Hey, Lovebug. We missed you. I’m glad you decided to join us after all.”

Their cheeks flush pink, and Ben gives them a little squeeze.

After West goes to get everyone drinks, Parker shifts a little, hooking their leg over mine under the table. I can’t see how it’s a comfortable position, essentially straddling both of us, but I’m not complaining.

Pretty much everything in my world is right. At least right now. So I smile and keep up with the conversation happening around us. Parker twines their pinky around mine, and when I glance up at them, they’re staring at me with a soft smile, blue eyes practically sparkling in the low light of the bar.

Everyone starts clearing out of the booth to go dance, and with alcohol and the buzz of being near Parker and Ben in my veins, I grab Parker’s hand, leading them to the dance floor.

Ben grins, then waves, following West across the room.

“Wanna dance, Lovebug?”

Parker runs their fingers through their paint-streaked hair, grinning up at me. “Yes. Let’s do it.”

They practically melt into me, swaying with me to the beat of the music. It’s not as sexually charged as dancing with Ben was, but try telling that to my dick. Seems that just having my Lovebug pressed against me is enough.
