“Courtney isn’t picking up,” he spits.

“Why are you calling my brother?”

He pins me with a glare. “He’s the fucking hacker. I need him to check the damn cameras to see what direction she went in.” Yeah, that’s a good fucking point.

“Look, she can’t have gone far. The entire place is fenced so she’ll be around here somewhere, we just need to find her,” I say.

“Search the grounds. I’ll get my mask and search the house,” he grits out, then storms back toward the house.

CHAPTER NINE

JENNA

I remain still and unmoving. My hands shake as I quietly shift the vent in the roof and climb down. The idiots saw the window but not the vent directly above the sink. I balance on the edge of the sink and quietly shift the covering back into place before I jump down. I secure the robe around my waist and double knot the rope.

I thought throwing the towel out the window would make it seem believable that I actually managed to escape out the window. I appreciate the fact they thought I was small enough to fit my ass out of it, but come on, a child could barely escape out of that thing. I tiptoed out of the room, grateful in their haste to chase me they left the door open. I look left and right, making sure it’s clear before I rush out. I make it to the kitchen and spot a set of keys on the counter. I snatch them up and shove them in my pocket as I move to escape, but instantly freeze when the guy who wears the white snake eye contacts walks in… maskless.

We stand here suspended in time as we stare at each other for a long moment, unmoving. He’s fucking gorgeous. His black hair is long enough to tangle your fingers in the strands, his square jaw sharp enough to cut glass. The five o’clock shadow which dusts his face only adding to the raw sexual allure. Theblack shirt and jeans he wears clings to his sculpted body like a second skin. I wish he wasn’t wearing those damned contacts so I could see his true eye color. Even without knowing the color of his eyes, something about him seems so familiar.

“You just killed yourself.” I jerk in shock at the sound of his voice.

“You have to catch me first,” I snap back at him.

He shakes his head. “You broke the rules of theDollhouse, now there will be repercussions.” My eyes widen when I realize what he’s saying.

“The players' identities aren’t meant to be revealed,” I breathe out in fear.

His features smooth out as he reaches up and pulls the contacts from his eyes. The second he blinks his eyes open and looks at me my breath lodges in my throat. He’s fucking beautiful. The broad set of his shoulders and the smoldering look on his face has me trembling.

I dart my eyes around the room, trying to find another way out since he’s blocking my escape route to the open front door. All the other doors need one of their fingerprints to open them so I’m fucking caged.

“Don’t,” he grits out.

“Don’t what?”

“Run like a fucking idiot,” he snarls. I open my mouth to clap back at him but the back door opens, forcing me to take a couple of steps back in order to keep the maskless man and the newcomer in my sights. This guy has his mask resting on the top of his head. He doesn’t spot me as he enters and looks right at the other guy as he says,

“Vladimir is scouting the other side—” He clamps his mouth closed when the other flicks his head toward me, following his movement. The second he spots me, his eyes widen, then he backs up a step and yanks his mask down, but it’s too late. I sawhis face. Unlike the first guy, this one has softer features. I had thought they all had black hair but not this one, his is a dark shade of brown, long on the top and short on the sides.

He’s tall like the other guy and broad. He has the body shape of a surfer, long and lean but all muscle. His yellow contacts hide the color of his eyes from me, which only annoys me when it shouldn’t.

“What the fuck?” yellow eyes snaps at the other guy.

“She caught me when I came in to get my mask. No point hiding now. She’s already broken the fucking rules and seen your face.” Yellow mask curses beneath his breath and shakes his head. He keeps looking between the two of us, but all I can focus on is the fact I have two exits, except they are both fucking blocked. I need to get one of them to move so I can make a run for it. I have their car keys in my pocket, which means there is a fucking road that leads out of here.

“We need to make a call.”

“They already know,” the maskless guy says, then flicks his head up to the corner of the room. I follow his gaze and gasp at the sight of the camera. Motherfuckers would have been able to see me the moment I entered this fucking room.

“Jesus, Vegah we are—-” At the sound of the guy with the mask saying that name my fucking mind whirls. It clicks in my head why he seemed so familiar. It’s not because I’ve met him but because I’ve been seeing photos of him. Yellow eyes tears his mask off and stares right at me. He removes his contacts, making me back up a step. A knowing look flashes through his green eyes, he knows I know who they are.

I shake my head and try to get words to form but none come. I’m in more fucking danger than I could have imagined.

The third guy strolls into the room and comes to a halt beside Vegah. He takes in the scene before him, then releases a sigh. Without needing an explanation, he removes his maskand contacts, making me stumble backward until my lower back slams into the counter. He’s about the same height as Vegah, same brown eyes and hair color except his hair is cut shorter on the top. All three of them are fucking sinfully beautiful. All sinners are fucking wrapped in a pretty package, that’s how the devil tempts you and that motherfucker got me good.

For weeks I have been searching for these men since that night at the Dungeon, subconsciously allowing myself to fall for them without even knowing who the fuck they are. Waking up here and finding out they were the guys I had been hunting down, I allowed myself to enjoy the time I had with them. I was a fucking fool.

Congratulations, Jenna. You are a fucking idiot.
