“You’re my mate,” he rumbles, his breath hot against my throat.

“Yes,” I moan.

His eyes burn into me. “Need to mark you, Jude. Can I mark you?”

“Do it,” I whine, rubbing against him, feeling frenzied with lust. The need to belong to him is all consuming. I can’t think of anything else. I crave his mark.

His teeth graze my skin and then he bites down. I scream as his teeth sink into my flesh, and I come hard, my hole clenching on his cock. The pain and pleasure are electric, sending me spiraling, my cock spurting against his abdomen. He lets out a feral snarl, his hips stuttering as he spills inside me, filling me up until I’m dripping with him. My hole squeezes over and over, milking my mate’s hot cream deep into my body.

I feel the bond snap into place like a lock turning. It’s visceral, physical, a tightening in my chest that expands outward until I can feel him everywhere. Not just his body against mine, but his heartbeat syncing with my own. His emotions bleeding into me. Relief. Joy. Possession. Love.

He lifts his head, eyes glazed, lips smeared with blood. His expression is possessive, territorial. I’m weak with pleasure, my neck throbs, and my abdomen feels full and heavy with his seed. I’ve never experienced anything like what happened between us. His scent seeps from my pores, mingling with my own. I’ve truly been claimed body and soul by Liam.

He collapses on top of me, both of us panting, our bodies slick with sweat and cum. His cock is still inside me, softening but still there, and I don’t want him to fucking move.

“Fuck, Jude. That almost killed me,” he mutters, his voice rough, and I can’t help but laugh.

His gaze fixes on the bitemark and he looks ashamed. He gently kisses the spot where he bit, licking with his warm tongue. “Did I hurt you?” he whispers.

“It was worth it.” I smile up at him, tracing his angular jaw with one finger.

“I lost control.” His eyes are still gold-rimmed but fading back to brown. There’s a vulnerability in his expression as if he’s worried he went too far.

“I didn’t mind. It’ll heal quickly. I loved it.” I shrug. “I love that I could make you lose control.”

He sighs. “You definitely did.”

He pulls out carefully and rolls onto his side, immediately gathering me in his arms so that my back is against his chest. I settle into him, sighing happily. His arm wraps around my waist and his forehead rests against the back of my neck, his breath warm on my skin. The bite on my shoulder throbs with a pleasant heat, but I can feel that it’s already mending.

We lie there in silence for a while, just breathing together. His heartbeat slows against my back, syncing with mine.

“I can feel you,” he murmurs against my neck. “Inside me. Like you’re part of me.”

“I feel it too.” I lace my fingers through his where they rest on my stomach. “Are you sure you have no regrets?”

He laughs gruffly. “It’s a little late for that now.”

I smile. “I guess.”

He’s quiet for a moment. “I’m sure it will be difficult for some people to understand why I decided to be with you.”

“Of course.” I wince. “Your family for one.”

“Yes.” He kisses the back of my neck. “But they’ll come around because they love me and want me happy.”

I say softly, “And Ben. He’ll be shocked. Hurt.”

“Oh well,” Liam growls, tightening his arms around me. “He was way too confident about you. He seemed to think he had it in the bag.”

“Kara thought the same thing,” I remind him.

He grunts. “I guess we’re both really good at pretending.”

“But not anymore, right?” I look at him over my shoulder.

His eyes are warm. “No, not anymore. We’re together now, and if someone doesn’t like it, that’s their problem.”

“Okay.” I hesitate. “You know, people can be real assholes sometimes.”
