“How did you find that out? And I want them gone,” Wes grumbled.

“Andi overheard the conversation and reported it to Christian, who took it to Troy. Troy has a rehabilitation meeting until 2100, and then plans to deal with the pair. He scheduled Brandon Finch by secure video server and Dieter Mueller, the dog training supervisor, to sit in.”

“Why do I hear a but?”

“Nadia, prior to her bite, has checked on Eleanor four times.”

“They met at orientation and were friends. Ellie asked for her help the morning after her concussion. Damn, did she betray her too?”

“I don’t know. But we have one more. Seems Elgin Moore has been trying to get assigned to her care team. That comes from Tim Holland,” Zach said.

“Sanders and Moore were already on my shit list. They almost tanked Hopper’s care when he fractured his femur. Pete asked me to give them a chance. But I warned him, I wanted them nowhere near anyone requiring serious care. And how do we know Holland is trustworthy?”

“He’s assigned to your Eagle’s Talon team. He’s a former combat controller, and he’s Trask Winslow’s brother-in-law.” Trask Winslow was a second deputy to Julian Dupart, head of the San Diego branch.

“Damn it, why don’t I know these things? I need those files.” Wes held his hands up. “I know Troy has them.”

“No, they’re on your desk. The secondary background checks came in. We repeated everything. No surprises on TC1.”

Wes rubbed his eyes. “Okay, so Honor, Elgin, Nadia. Anyone else?”

“I’m meeting with Chambers after he finishes his shift as a level-three supervisor and Riley Armstrong, nurse practitioner, before they come on shift. I’ll meet with Luke at the barn in the morning.”

“Thanks, Ice.” Wes saw a nurse come out of Eleanor’s room and headed back to be with her.
