Destiny scowled at him. “You’re pretty bossy, Hunter Li.”
Hunter gave her a scorching look that made her stomach clench again. “You haven’t seen anything yet, Kitten.”
“Kitten, huh?” Destiny cocked an eyebrow, trying to channel some of her usual sass. “Because I’m so cute and fragile?”
Hunter smirked, bringing the bun back to her lips. “Because you can cut a man with those cat eyes as quickly as you can with sharp words. Because you’re graceful and powerful and because I want to make you purr. Now bite.”
Destiny’s breath hitched as she obediently took another bite of the steamed bun. She wasn’t sure what she’d expected him to say, but it certainly hadn’t been that. She flushed, shifting her gaze to Greyson, who was watching her with amusement.
“And what’s this ‘Star’ business?” she asked, trying to look stern. “It’d better not be the obvious answer.”
“You wound me,” Greyson replied, pressing a hand to his chest in mock hurt. “I am a man of deep thoughts. As for my meaning, my dearest Star, I’ll tell you later.”
They fed her until she finally waved them off, full and done with being fussed over. While she’d been eating, they’d informed her that though the storm had finally died down, it had delayed the start of the festival. Avondale was well equipped for the snow, but they still needed time to clear the roads and remove the acres of snow laden tarps that covered the contest trees. Thefestivities were to begin the following day, leaving everyone’s itineraries unusually clear.
“It’s a proper snow day,” Greyson said, grinning like a schoolboy. Destiny’s stomach flipped and she shook herself inwardly. She was practically swooning at this point, and his next words didn’t help. “Will you spend it with us?”
Destiny bit her lip. Now that she’d opened the door for sex, she wasn’t sure if the invitation came with any expectations. Did she want it to? Absolutely. Maybe. She didn’t know.
Greyson tilted his head, his expression growing serious. “There are no strings attached to this invitation, love. I simply cannot think of anything I’d rather do with this unexpected day off, than spend it with you. In whatever fashion you’d like.”
“We can show you our favorite parts of the castle, then we’ll hang out and watch cheesy Christmas movies if that’s your thing, or we can find some more games for you to whoop Xander’s ass in,” Hunter added, the corner of his mouth quirking with a smile.
Both alphas looked at her hopefully. Destiny felt a rush of desire to please them—was it her omega hormones responding to their alpha pheromones, or just a reaction to two handsome, kind men earnestly craving her attention? She wasn’t sure which, but she couldn’t resist it. She didn’t want to.
Destiny sighed and rolled her eyes, even as her heart raced with excitement. “My favorite Christmas movies areBlack ChristmasandDie Hard.”
Greyson smacked his forehead in comically dramatic disappointment. Hunter gave her a slow, incredulous headshake.
“You sound exactly like Xander,” Greyson grumbled, full lips turning down in a frown. “I am so disappointed, Star. Hunter and I have been able to outvote him in favor of the jolly stuff. Now you’re going to tip the scales his way. We’ll be outnumbered forever, Hunt.”
Hunter grinned. “You’llbe outnumbered forever. I’m on her side. I’m never going to vote against our girl.”
Destiny’s brain latched onto the last two words. Our girl.Butterflies swirled in her belly. She knew they were teasing her, but they talked as if they expected her to be around a while. Maybe they were just planning to entertain her for the rest of her extended stay. Surely that’s all it meant. Right?
Destiny’s heart pounded as though it had different ideas.
Greyson pouted. “That’s rubbish. I happen to enjoy movies about peace on earth and goodwill toward mankind during the holidays. Like a normal person.”
Hunter leaned toward Destiny conspiratorially, covering his mouth and speaking in a stage whisper. “He’s a soft batch cookie about blood and gore and spooky shit.”
Destiny couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s a pity because I love blood and gore and spooky shit.”
Greyson groaned. “Well, I suppose I now love blood and gore and spooky shit. But I’ll require a proper cuddle during the creepy bits, and I can’t be expected to sleep alone afterward.”
“Deal,” Destiny replied, as the butterflies in her stomach rioted. “I’ll make sure Prince Alexander knows he’s on cuddle duty.”
Greyson surprised her by growling and leaning forward to nip at one of her fingers. She let out an indignant little squeak, more from the way her core clenched than from the force of the bite. Greyson looked up at her with eyes like molten topaz.
“Do not tease me, you cheeky minx. It will drive me to untoward behavior, when I am determined to be a gentleman,” he murmured, his voice a low caress. “You will cuddle me during those godawful movies, and you will like it.”
Destiny shuddered, the dominance in his voice sending an electric buzz through her veins. Her core clenched again, and she felt slick trickling down her thighs. She wouldn’t just like it, she’d fucking love it. Her body hummed with pleasure, with the desire to give this man what he needed. She exhaled a ragged breath.
“Fine, but we’re going to watch something really, really gory,” she replied breathily.
Greyson laughed and rose, pulling her to her feet and into a hug. Finding herself abruptly pressed against the hard length of his body was overwhelming. Destiny swayed a little, but Greyson held her upright.
“Good girl,” he murmured, before brushing his lips over hers in a whisper of a kiss. She tasted herself on his lips, and the memory of his mouth on her body threatened to undo her. Destiny’s skin was on fire, her core aching with need. Greyson smiled knowingly. “We’ll leave you to your toilette, but I’ll be eagerly awaiting my cuddles so do be quick about it, love. One of us will return to collect you in an hour, perhaps?”
