Gabriel kissed Genesis again, then stepped back to enjoy the sight of the omega riding his pack leader. Together, the two were a work of art.

Genesis wrapped her arms around Lando’s neck, holding his gaze as she slid down his considerable length. When he was fully seated, they both moaned, Lando’s pleasure rippling through the pack bond. Then they began to move.

Gabriel’s cock was in his hand before long. He’d always loved to watch, to enjoy the beauty of others’ pleasure. He’d tried to elicit similar sensations with his art, though it’d been a long time since he’d captured anything so sensual. Now, watching Genesis, Gabriel thought he’d found a new muse.

Stripped down to her cowboy hat and stilettos, the omega was stunning. Her golden-brown skin was flushed, her tits and ass bouncing as she moved. Her eyes never left Lando’s, her parted lips inches from his. She matched the rhythm of his hips, taking him as deep as she could.

When she came in a trembling, panting mess, Lando kissed her hard, holding her close as he thrust up into her again and again, chasing his own release. Gabriel felt his knot swelling again, and he worked himself faster.

“I’m going to knot you now, Tesoro,” Lando murmured, his gaze softening with concern. He took her face gently in both hands. “I know you can take it. Are you ready?”

Genesis nodded. When she spoke, her already husky voice was ragged with need. “Yes, Sir. Please.”

Lando pulled Genesis into a kiss as he thrusted, knotting her in one swift movement. She cried out and Lando swallowed the sound, claiming her mouth as though he wanted to bury himself in every part of her. Gabriel could definitely relate.

“Orlando, Orlando, Orlando!” Genesis moaned his name like a chant, breaking the kiss as her entire body shuddered. Her face twisted into the most beautiful expression of ecstasy, eyes wet and wide, swollen lips parted. “I’m so full!”

Then she was coming again with her face buried in Lando’s neck. Lando groaned, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist and holding her close. Gabriel’s belly and balls tightened, and he had the wherewithal to grab a cloth napkin off the table just in time to catch the spurt of cum that followed.

“You were right, Luke Wyatt,” Lando murmured after a few minutes. “Feeling her pussy flutter is incredible. Wait until you get a chance to knot her.”

“You’re a petty bitch, Orlando Rossi,” Luke drawled.

Lando chuckled, planting kisses in Genesis’s hair. Gabriel laughed and Luke joined in. Genesis turned her face toward them, smiling lazily. Her face was flushed and tear-stained and absolutely radiant. There was a lightness in the air—something hopeful and exciting, though still fragile. Gabriel felt content to wait and see how things played out. He was sure that, somehow, it would all be okay.

“Genesis, dear,” Lando said once his knot had softened, making the omega blink her eyes open from a semi-doze. “Since we’re pretend courting, I’d like to stay and care for you tonight, ifyou don’t mind. Can I start by drawing you a bath? It’ll help with any soreness.”

Genesis smirked, then winced as Lando helped her off his softening cock. “I see what you mean about the soreness. I suppose it’s okay for you to stay, since we’re pretend courting and all.”

Lando wrapped an arm around her, leading her from the room and up the stairs to her loft. Genesis blew them a kiss over her shoulder, and Gabriel caught it, making her giggle. He watched her until she disappeared into the ensuite bathroom.

“This is a bad idea,” Luke said once they were alone. “Someone is going to get hurt.”

Gabriel sighed. “How can you think that after an incredible night like tonight?”

Luke scowled. “It’s not all romantic dinners and amazing sex, Gabe. We’d have to keep that little firecracker safe, and she’s not keen on being told what to do. You think that’ll end well? You think we can protect her when she’s out chasing crime or whatever the fuck she wants to do?”

Gabriel eyed his packmate, considering his words. A stab of pain hit him when he processed what Luke wasn’t saying. He didn’t feel like he could protect Genesis, and Gabriel knew why.

“Evie’s death wasn’t your fault,” Gabriel said, pushing on despite the way his packmate flinched. “Lando and I both know it, everyone knows it, but you’ve got to believe it. You can’t carry this misplaced guilt forever.”

“My sentiments exactly,” Lando agreed, appearing in that annoyingly stealthy way of his. “You need this more than you know, Luke Wyatt. I expect you to play along and to actually try and enjoy yourself. You know I would never force you into a new courtship if you weren’t ready, and we weren’t all completely sure in our choice. So, give this arrangement a chance. When our three months is up, you can have final say on our decision.”

Luke’s eyes widened, and Gabriel tried to hide his grimace. Lando must be very, very confident in Genesis’s compatibility if he was willing to give Luke the power to decide on their future with her. Gabriel would never bet against Lando, but he hoped like hell his pack leader’s gamble would pay off.

“Fine.” Luke stood abruptly, his scowl deeper than ever. “I can’t wait to say I told you so. Good night, assholes.”

Lando and Gabriel watched Luke storm out, their brows furrowed in similar expressions of concern and frustration. Lando sighed heavily.

“It’ll work out,” Gabriel reassured him. “It’s a good plan, just give him time.”

Lando nodded, clapping Gabriel on his shoulder before turning away and heading for the stairs. Gabriel slipped out of the cottage, catching a glimpse of Luke disappearing up the path toward the main house. He turned in the opposite direction, eager to get to his studio. His brain was buzzing with ideas, all of them connected to a certain bright-eyed omega with a banging body and a brilliant brain.

He worked all night, and every color seemed vibrant and new. New like the spark of hope in his chest. New like the fresh scent of jasmine, oranges, and honey.

Like a new beginning.
