Her brows pull together. “What actions are those?”

I lean in enough for her to feel the weight of my question. “Why did you come here tonight, Valentina?”

She smiles and leans in. “Can I tell you a secret?” I nod, amused. “I have a husband, and he is ignoring me. Can you imagine that? On our wedding night, he fucked me until I couldn’t move and enjoyed every second of it, only for him to ignore me and my needs after.” Her breath brushes my cheek, and the memory of our wedding night makes my cock harden. “So, I find another woman’s hands on him.” A chuckle escapes her. “My first thought was to cut those hands off her, but then, she didn’t know he was married, so I needed to inform her. Maybe next time I should spill some blood. What do you think?” Her eyes catch mine. Our faces are inches from each other.

I trace my lower lip with the tip of my tongue, and my smile spreads before I burst into laughter.

“What’s so funny? I would love it if you could share,” Marco prompts.

“Oh, I was just telling him about my husband.” Valentina smiles.

Marco raises his eyebrows. His eyes meet mine, a smirk covering his face. “Your husband?”

She shrugs. “Just a joke I was telling him.”

“Oh, I love jokes. Do tell.”

“It’s a private one.” She leans forward. “I’m Valentina, by the way, and you must be Marco.”

He smirks. “Nice to meet you officially, Valentina.” He shoots me a look. “I like her.”

I pin him with a glare and shake my head. His interest in Valentina is just to fuck with me.

“I have to ask, so I don’t have to kill the idiots at the entrance. How did you get inside?” Marco raises his eyebrows. His question is strictly business.

She smiles. “I had help.”

“Did you now? Was your helper maybe five feet tall? A tiny brunette?” Marco leans forward, inspecting my wife.

“Why?”

“It doesn’t matter why.”

“I don’t like your tone, Marco.” Valentina’s tone sharpens.

“Come on, Valentina. Just answer my question.”

Even if Valentina doesn’t show it, I can feel her flinch beside me at his harsh tone.

I inhale deeply to calm myself. “That’s enough!” I growl at him. I guess inhaling didn’t work. “She isn't one of your groupies, Marco. I would be careful how you continue this conversation.”

He raises his hands. “Hey, I just want to know who helped her.”

“Why does it matter?” Valentina asks.

His smile spreads as his eyes follow the movement at the bar. “Never mind. I have my answer.” He pushes the girl next to him to the side and stands, pinning them both with a glare. “You can leave. Find yourself another dick. I have better things to do.”

I pinch the bridge of my nose when I realize what he’s talking about. Valentina and I watch as he approaches Clara, who looks annoyed by his presence.

“Is there anything happening between those two?” Valentina tilts her head to the side as she watches them.

“Something is. Which is exactly why I would like to stay out of it. Marco’s relationships are too messy.” I stand. “Come. I’ll take you home.”

She raises her eyebrows. “Who said anything about going home? I came here to have some fun, and I intend to do so.”

“Come on, Valentina.”

“I said no. You can leave, and since I’m not home, feel free to go there since you're avoiding me.”
