“Not knowing?” I guess.

“Yeah.”

“That makes two of us.”

Bear exits the clubhouse and spots the two of us. My uncle joins us, pulling out a cigar. He’s always smoked them instead of cigarettes. “Something goin’ on I need to worry about?”

“Not yet,” Bullseye answers, finally lifting his smoke to his lips.

“We’re just wondering when Liam and Theo will try something stupid.”

Bear snorts. “They’ve always been fuck ups.”

“But retaliation,” I start to say.

Bear holds up a hand. “We’re watching them. Storm has had eyes on those two shits since the attack.”

Bullseye tilts his head, and I can see him mulling over Bear’s words. “You hired a P.I., huh?”

“Yep.”

Damn. “You sure they won’t notice a tail?”

Bear shakes his head. “No. Raven is good at her job.”

A female private investigator? “You trust her?”

“I do. She’s the best.” Bear scratches the back of his neck, looking a little awkward. “I used to fuck her mom.”

The cigarette in Bullseye’s mouth drops onto his cut as his lips part in shock. He curses as he flicks it away, hopping up to make sure he isn’t on fire.

Bear’s deep chuckle proves he said that shit on purpose.

I smile, finishing off my smoke and flicking the butt to the ground. “You get around, Bear.”

His grin is too wide. “I do.”

SOMETHING JARS ME AWAKE. I feel a vibration beneath my chest and groan as I roll over, slapping the mattress until my palm finds my phone.

“Yeah?” I answer, fighting the urge to drift back asleep.

I had a rotten night. Dreams of Letty. Unable to find her. It fucks with my head knowing she’s out there and I can’t get to her.

“Wake up, brother. I found your girl.”

And since he’s an asshole, Zip hangs up before I can reply.

My eyes snap open, and I sit up, bouncing up off the bed with a burst of energy. Letty. Zip finally found her.

I laugh as I pull on jeans and my cut, rushing from my room. It’s the middle of the night, but members are still awake. I don’t linger on the couple fucking in the corner, but catch Bullseye’s naked ass as he ruts into one of the club girls.

For fuck’s sake. I don’t want to see that shit. He’s my goddamn cousin. I shake my head and avert my eyes, rushing to Zip’s office. Storm gave him a separate space outside his roombecause he needs a shit ton of room for all his tech. There are monitors, printers, computers, and things I can’t even name.

“Hey!” I shout as I enter. “Where?”

Zip points to the screen. “On the coast. Check this out.” He clicks a few times, then brings up a video.

All I see is ocean for a minute, and then my grin blows wide as I see Letty. She’s dressed in leggings and a robe. I can tell it’s early in the morning. Beyond the deck where she’s sitting, the ocean laps at the edge of the beach.
