We’ve waited so long to be together. I don’t have any patience left. I’ve stayed a virgin, and I know it’s because I’ve always wanted Gage to be my first. I just didn’t acknowledge it until now.
“Letty, baby, I fucking want you so bad.”
“Then why aren’t we riding this motorcycle to someplace private?”
He groans. “Gonna be the death of me.”
“Why is that?” I’m genuinely curious.
“You have no idea what you do to me, beautiful.”
I really don’t.
“You said it’s all or nothing,” I remind him. “Which one do you choose, Gage?”
“All,” he growls.
“Then be my first, Gage.” I palm his cheek as I stare into his eyes. “But please don’t hurt me and make me regret it.”
Chapter 7 Gage
Ilove her. Of course, I do.
I’ve loved her since the night I tasted her for the first time, and I memorized the sound of her moans when I watched the sun creeping over the horizon and felt her warmth against my skin. I knew the same breath she stared into my eyes and said she’d never been with anyone before me. When she turned those big, blue, trusting eyes my way and let me worship her with my mouth. I lost my heart to her that day, and even now, she holds it in two fragile, soft hands. She’s the first and last person ever to have that power over me.
Trust is hard-won in my world. It’s quick to lose and almost impossible to earn back.
I built that trust and a bond with my brothers in the club over the last few years. I need to build that same trust with Letty. She deserves to know the truth. There are too many fucking secrets, and I have to continue to prove that I’m someone she can rely on.
But being a Viper means I can’t share what I learn in church or the intel the club uncovers. There are things I can never reveal, and she has to find a way to accept that if we’re going to make this work.
And then there’s the harsh reality of my father’s crimes, the threat to Letty’s life, and the danger Mifflin placed Cynthia in, which only adds to the shit piling up. Her mother keeps as many secrets as I do, maybe more. She knows enough shit about my father to be a liability. I hope Cynthia is smart enough to protect herself and to have an escape plan. She’s going to need it.
“Be my first, Gage.” Letty’s small hand cradles the side of my face. “But please don’t hurt me and make me regret it.”
Her words snap me out of the debate in my head. “You sure?”
“Yes.” She swipes across the screen of her phone and sends a quick text. “Ava is good. She’s got a ride home.”
“Let me get a prospect here. Just in case shit gets wild.”
“Alright. Thanks.”
I sneak a kiss, sucking her bottom lip into my mouth before I release it. “Give me a minute.” I send a message to one of the prospects I trust the most, letting him know that no one fucks with Ava. Ryker is quick to reply. “It’s sorted,” I announce. “We’re leaving, beautiful.”
I adjust us on the bike so that she’s holding onto my waist from behind and show her where to put her feet. Once her helmet is on, I start the engine and ride away from the curb. She only asks where we’re headed once we leave the party far behind.
“My place,” I answer as we pause at a red light. “That okay?”
“Sure.” She sounds nervous. How fucking adorable.
She’s steady in the saddle with me. Holds tight to my body. And when I take turns, she follows my lead. It’s like she’s born to ride my Harley with me—my ol’ lady.
When we arrive at the clubhouse, I don’t linger or detour. I don’t stop or talk to a fucking soul. We rush through the halls and stop outside my room as I pull out the key from my cut pocket and unlock the door. She enters ahead of me, and I flip on the lights, shutting the door behind us and locking it.
“This is your last chance to tell me you’re not ready or want to wait. I’ll respect that, Letty.”
“I know.” She smiles and crooks a finger. “Come here.”
