"If she were that incompetent, she'd be dead already. Making ineffective weapons is a betrayal," Enzo said.

"What if they have the same thing that will block out our comms?" Dragon asked. "Or if their device makes ours useless?"

"I like that you're a man who likes to be prepared for anything. I respect that. That may very well be the case and that's why we still need to have a plan of action that doesn't rely on us being able to stay in communication during the takedown. Also, we'll need stealth and speed on our side when we attack them just in case, like you said, they see us coming," Enzo said.

Dragon nodded then. "Smart. Okay, so tonight we attack."

"Until then, let's get something to eat," Bulldozer said. "I'm starving."

Enzo chuckled and nodded. Some discussion was had about where to get the food, and after going over the menu to jot down everyone's order, three men left in one of the SUVs to carry out the errand. Meanwhile, the others waited and talked as a way to break even more of the ice.

After the sun had set and their bellies were full, the men set into action. During their free time, they devised plans on how to best approach Li's safe house, and now that nightfall was their best friend, they drove closer. The Lords left their bikes behind and rode in the SUVs with Enzo's people. They pulled up as close as they could and then moved in on foot, weapons hidden inside jackets and cuts until it was time to open fire. They stoppedbefore they reached the building and watched as four guards made their rounds. Cenzo activated their signal-blocking device, which would disable the cameras, cell phones, and any other device not on their frequency using Wi-Fi for a city block.

"Sergio, you got them?" Enzo asked his bodyguard, who, like Jazz, had a sniper rifle. Jazz took position on the roof of a nearby building to give them cover. Sergio was beside Enzo because he never left the man's side.

Sergio peered at his targets through the scope of his gun. "I'm locked in on the two closest to the front door."

Every member was using the same comms they had when they took out the sex traffickers, and Jazz added his position. "Then I've got the other two moving towards the back."

"Do it," Enzo gave the command.

Sergio took the shot, and the first guy went down, his head snapping back with his brains splattering against the wall behind him. The second guard had only a second to react before Sergio took him out as well—two bullets, one in the chest and the other in the throat. Blood gushed from both wounds, which meant it was safe to bet that some of these guards didn't have bulletproof vests. Not like they did.

"Let's move out," Enzo said. "Avoid the cameras if you can."

Enzo ran toward the building, knowing he'd never be able to avoid all of the cameras, so speed would have to be their best offensive tactic. His people and the Lords were right behind him, and before they could enter, bullets flew through the door, forcing them to take cover. There were no windows in this warehouse, but there were three entrances, and they were waiting to break through one of them.

A sharp sound pierced Enzo's ear, forcing him to snatch his earbud out. He looked over to see one of his men doing the same, which let him know that Li was prepared, just as Dragon had predicted. Perhaps their devices were both effective andineffective, helping and hurting. He didn't know if all of the cameras had been taken out, but he suspected their comms were down, as the guards on the outside had no idea what hit them when they were killed. It was good that he was prepared for any scenario. He watched as Sergio placed charges on the thick steel door and took cover when the door was blasted off its hinges. Bullets whizzed past them as they pressed themselves against the cement wall of the warehouse for protection.

"Cover me," Enzo said as he slipped inside while his people shot into the warehouse, causing the triad to dodge bullets. Some of the men got shot because they didn't move out of the way fast enough.

They did this method at all three entrances until they brought the fight inside. Enzo saw some of his people being taken out by the triad, and he knew loss would be inevitable. What mattered was achieving the goal. He poked his head out from behind the cement column he had taken safety behind and fired off several shots, taking down two more triad members. Quickly, he ducked back behind the column as Li fired his way.

"You son of a fucking whore!" Li snapped as he stayed low behind a pile of cement blocks.

Enzo heard the insult directed at both him and his mother. He'd make that bitch suffer for his foolish words. The gunfight went on even as police sirens blared in the background. There was no way he could let Li escape; it was too damn hard to find him this time.

"Sergio, take out the bastard who has me pinned," Enzo yelled.

Sergio nodded and set his sights on his target.

Enzo decided to make it easier for him. He ran from behind the column to the next one, and when the guy with the automatic machine gun made his move, Sergio took him out, then another who thought he could get Enzo too.

Enzo watched Sergio running up a flight of stairs and ducking behind the metal railing as shots were fired. He was worried for the boy, but he also had to put his faith in the boy's skill. Instead, he turned his attention to the twins. Li was fighting back hard, his bullets hitting more than missing, and Dragon had Xiù pinned behind a column with his killer aim. Li raised up to shoot back, and a bullet flew so close to his head that Enzo was sure the man felt the heat from it. Li ducked back down before more came his way.

"I want him alive!" Enzo yelled to his people because that bullet was too close for his comfort.

"Gotcha, boss," several of his men responded—those who were still alive and able to assist.

Enzo ran, keeping his head low and his feet fast as he made his way toward Li. He leaped over the concrete block where Li was hiding, taking the man by surprise. Li aimed his gun, but Enzo kicked it out of his hand. Li was quick to pull another gun from his holster, but before he could point it, Enzo grabbed his wrist, and the two began fighting. Li's sister called his name but then screamed as Dragon got a lucky shot right in her left leg. She still aimed her gun at Enzo and was shot again by Dragon, this time in the arm, forcing her to drop her weapon.

Enzo couldn't really focus on what Dragon was doing; he just hoped the man could handle Xiù because Li was currently giving him hell. Li dealt a roundhouse kick, striking Enzo's chest, the impact knocking the air out of his lungs and leaving a footprint on his black shirt. The kicks came fast as hell as Li followed it up with another one to Enzo's face. But before he could get in a third, Sergio kicked Li in his ribs, causing the man to stumble back.

"Jesus fucking Christ," Enzo cursed as he dabbed blood from his nose and lip.

The bullet fight began to die down as more bodies dropped, but there were still some shots being fired all around them. This time it was two against one, and Enzo and Sergio attacked Li, who was holding his own, blocking and countering with elbows, kicks, and punches, landing a good one on Sergio that busted his nose. Li grabbed Enzo, slamming him to the floor in a grappling maneuver that made Enzo regret this plan—just a little. Sergio kicked Li in the face; the impact was just enough to knock the man unconscious. Li grunted and then fell forward on top of Enzo.

"Oh, thank God. Son of a bitch was a fucking handful," Enzo said.
