@SpringDayRising: So when Harlow told C*Leb News to expect the unexpected, did she know she was going to eff up the entire choreography mid-song?
@MaterialGworl3: What a disaster. Heard she missed rehearsals that morning. Clearly cares more about partying than performing now…
@StipmoreHH: She’s been working so hard, hope she takes a break #weloveyouharlow
@baddiefonts: She looked drunk or high to me.
@ClioNovelist: I remember reading an article about how she was weird the entire night even in the crowd. Constantly touching her nose. Constantly looking at Colton, who seemed to be ignoring her.
@AbbeyRoadKnows: @ClioNovelist he was probably embarrassed.
Interview Transcript from UK Radio Show
December 2021
Host:We have the brilliant Harlow Hayes with us today, everybody. Welcome to the show, Harlow!
Harlow:Hi! Thank you so much for having me.
Host:The pleasure is all ours. So how are you enjoying London?
Harlow:Oh, I’m loving it. It’s always been one of my favorite cities, ever since I performed here for my very first world tour. The UK has some of the best crowds, for sure.
Host:You know, I have to agree with you on that one. Us Brits do know how to have a good time. At a concert or festival at least… Anyway, we can’t wait to hear you perform in a bit in the Live Lounge, but first, I need to ask you a question. Only because my mate loves you, okay, and he begged me to ask.
Harlow:I’m scared now…
Host:Harlow Hayes… are you single? And if so, will you go on a date with my mate Jack?
Harlow:*laughs* I am single, yes, but I don’t think I’ll have much time for romance on this trip, unfortunately. Sorry, Jack.
Host:Ah, you hear that, Jack? Sorry mate. But fair enough, fair enough, thanks for humouring us, Harlow. Now another cheeky question, apologies, but speaking of trips… what happened at the VMAs?
Harlow:*sighs* Well, I found out that wearing new heels and doing choreography on top of a flight of stairs isn’t the best idea…
Host:Tell me about it. I tried it last night, fell down not one, but two flights.
Harlow:Well, at least it wasn’t broadcast to millions of people.
Host:Erm yes, I must say I am grateful for that. And you’re sure it didn’t have anything to do with an ex-boyfriend? A Mr. Colton Scott?
Harlow:*laughs awkwardly* So about my song…
Chapter 15
Naomi tries her best to avoid bumping into strangers as she speed-walks down Broadway. She’s desperate to make it to the theater in time after the last-minute response from Trevor Gray, who has invited her to talk before his next show.
Her eyes dart between her phone and the colorful screens advertising the many different shows before she turns the corner on 45th Street. Adorned by its famous bright-yellow-and-black show logo, the theatre entrance is just like she remembers when she saw the show with Faye a few years back. It’s weird, she thinks, how the world continued on as normal after her death, barely changing, while all the color was drained from Naomi’s life.
Doing as Trevor instructed, Naomi bypasses the entrance and enters through the side of the building before sending a text.Here.
She stares at her phone, feeling a bit awkward as she waits for a response.
“Over here!” a friendly voice calls out seconds later.
Naomi looks up and sees Trevor waving at her, standing halfway out of his dressing room. He’s shorter than she expected but he makes up for it in personality. He’s wearing jeans, a hoodie, and a pair of red Air Jordans. Naomi passes racks of costumes and props as she makes her way over.
“You made it.” He reaches out for a hug.
