My channel hit two million subscribers yesterday. And we just recorded an appreciation video this morning to thank our amazing two million subscribers. It has been a great journey so far, and I could not have achieved it without the help of this sweet, romantic, hot man. I’m happy he’s the father of my child. This family is the type of family I dreamed of when I was younger – a family that’s built on love and support.
“Baby, have you seen this comment?” I gesture towards Gary, laughing.
“No, I’ve not. What’s that?” he plants a small kiss in my hair before sitting beside me.
“Look, it says, ‘can you make a video of how you met Sophia and what attracted you to her?’” I turn to face Gary after reading the comment to him.
“Oh my! And the comment has over a thousand likes. I’m sure many people want to hear the story,” He exclaims, and we both laugh.
“Mm, what do you think? Why don’t we make a ‘how we met’ video tomorrow? Since so many people are interested,” I suggest.
“You know I have to go to work tomorrow. It’s Monday. Mm,” Gary pulls me to him, planting kisses on every part of my face.
“How about Tuesday?”
“We are taking Jessica to the city on Tuesday. Have you forgotten?” he reminds me, stroking my hair with his finger.
“Oh, that’s right.” I nod.
We are visiting Lilah on Tuesday. Jessica has been whining about visiting her. And Lilah told me her son, Daniel, has been pleading that we visit them too. My daughter loves it at Lilah’s place in the city because she visits many fun places with Daniel when she’s there. We have concluded that we would take Jessica there on Tuesday.
A small knock interrupts the silence, and Gary stands up to answer it. It’s Jessica, she’s returning from Sarah’s apartment. She goes there every Sunday to have some baked cookies and play with Arabelle.
“Daddy!” Jessica throws her arms around his waist.
“Hey, sweetie,” he lifts her off her feet and walks to join me. “Hope you had fun today?”
“Yes, I did. Arabelle taught me how to sing,” she says happily.
“Really? She did?” I smile. “Do you want to sing for mommy?” I ask, taking her from Gary’s arm to sit her on my legs.
“Mm, Mommy, I’ll sing for you tomorrow. I’m tired now,” she buries her head in my chest.
“Oh, my sweet baby, let’s get you to bed,” I carry Jessi and take her to her room to get some sleep. I would share the good news that Gary and I have concluded to take her to the city on Tuesday with her tomorrow.
…
Tuesday came so fast, and Jessica is so excited. She talked all through our drive to the city. Gary says she took the chatty trait from me, and I think I agree. He said Jessica reminds her of the first day he met me – how I was everywhere, talking non-stop. It’s funny because I can’t even remember what I said that day, but I knew it was at Katherine’s restaurant. I was probably making a video or something. But he’s right; I do talk a lot.
“And isn’t that why you love me?” I tease him.
“Well, it is,” he replies before planting a small kiss on my face. “One for you too, Jess,” he turns to peck Jessi, and they both made a loud ‘mwah!’ sound. The two of them are my favorite people in this world.
We finally arrive at Lilah’s apartment. “Hey, baby,” Lilah pulls Jessi into a big hug.
“Aunt, I missed you!”
“I missed you too, honey. Daniel is currently out with his daddy, but he will be back soon, okay? Come inside,” she ushers Jessi inside her apartment.
Gary and I watch Lilah with a smirk drawn across our faces as she pretends not to notice us. She’s probably pissed that we did not bring Jessica to visit her earlier.
“Do you two want to come in or what?” she smirks at us.
“Is that even a proper way to greet your cousin that you haven’t seen in months?” I pull her to me playfully.
“Don’t even try to patronize me, Soph. You promised to visit me last month, but you did not. Last week, you said the same thing, and you did not. Is that how to treat your cousin?” Lilah smirks. She’s still as dramatic as ever.
“But I’m here now, hun.”
