“Look Layloni… King likes you. A lot.”
She pointed at my stomach.
“And men like him don’t know how to deal with feelings like that. He probably ain’t used to feeling half the shit you make him feel.” She sighed.
“Y’all gotta meet somewhere in the middle. If not for yourselves… then for that baby.” Her voice softened.
“I grew up in a broken home. Ain’t nothing sweet about that life. It messes with your head.” She tapped her temple.
“You know that. You came from one too.” She stated an in even tone.
“But King? He had both parents who loved him… and that got ripped away… So either take things slow and try to build something… or build a friendship strong enough to co-parent without destroying each other.” She suggested seriously.
I swallowed down her words because deep down… I knew she was right.
“I just want to be the only woman he deals with,” I admitted.
Rellianah chuckled, she leaned forward towards my coffee table and used a magazine to flick her ashes on.
“I gotta go soon,” she said, “but tomorrow my day off. We going out.”
Her eyes narrowed.
“Before we have a girl’s day out, you need to talk with King face to face and express yourself. If you want that nigga to yourself, say that shit. Niggas don’t hesitate to tell you that the pussy belongs to only them when they deep in that shit.” she pointed at me firmly.
“Until y’all get an understanding, I’m recommending no sex.” She smirked mischievously.
I gasped.
She nodded seriously.
“I’m dead serious,” She smirked.
“As both of y’all appointed therapist and counselor with no pay I recommend no sex for about a month until the both of you can stop playing childish games.” She giggled like the shit was funny.
“Yeah, then his hoe ass might mess with somebody else…” my words trailed off.
Just thinking about King fucking somebody else pissed me off. It made me want to go upside his damn head.
“If he fuck somebody else, shoot that nigga in the foot or arm. It works like a charm.” She shrugged.
“I done shot Cream, and he done shot me… Our marriage is as strong as ever now.” She said seriously.
I covered my mouth in shock, that was some toxic shit to admit to. Rellianah was probably the wrong person to be going to advice for.
“Make him miss you,” she continued. “Make him understand you not playing. Both of y’all need to get a clear understanding.”
I nodded slowly.
The only problem was… whenever King was around me, my strength disappeared. That man made me want to do things I had never even thought about doing before. This was the last game I considered playing with him though. No sex. Either he stepped up… or I walked away.
Just as Rellianah stood up, someone knocked on the door again. She rolled her eyes.
“My time up.” She said with disappointment in her tone.
Then she muttered under her breath, “Let me leave before Kyle make me catch a charge.”
I laughed and walked over to hug her tight.
