She laughed a little.
“I was about to say.” She giggled bashfully.
My hands slid down to her hips, slowly working the oil into the soft skin there. Her thick body shifted slightly under my hands.
Finally she spoke again.
“I’m cutting Monty off,” She stated above a whisper.
“I didn’t like how he just let you snatch me away from him.”
“That’s a good ass decision, especially based upon the new terms and conditions that I added to the contract.”
She stared at me like I was crazy.
“You need help.” She laughed then turned her head the other way.
“I probably do, baby.” I eased my hands up her back then slid both underneath her rolls.
“You seem like the type that need some shit written on paper since you don’t understand the terms and conditions obviousbetween us… Don’t trip though, I’ll get Rellianah to get some shit in writing for you.”
She laughed softly, as I tugged at her rolls then kneaded them. For a moment the room got quiet again.
“Why you really messing with me, King?”
That question made my hands pause. I looked down at her relaxed thick body then
answered her honestly.
“Because from the first time I saw you… something about you stuck with me.”
She didn’t say nothing back so I continued to express myself hoping that she’d understand.
“That day at the diner,” I said quietly. “When you looked at me… I saw something in your eyes.”
“What?”
“Pain.” I answered.
Her body stiffened a little.
“But you still stood there smiling,” I continued. “Still doing your job like the world wasn’t heavy on your shoulders.”
My hands moved slowly across her back again.
“And I remember thinking… damn she beautiful and thick as fuck, what’s her story… I wondered if you could overcome it too.”
Layloni didn’t say anything for a long moment. Then she whispered softly into the pillow.
“I’ve overcome a lot King.” She simpered out.
“I know, and that’s what I love the most about you.”
Chapter 18
Layloni
Today was the day that I was leaving California to go back to Mississippi. A part of me wanted to reach out to King and tell him where I was going so I could feel somewhat safe, but I erased that thought. I didn’t even tell Rellianah I was going either. I was pretty sure she would alert King if I did.
