No hesitation this time.

That’s her pushing through it.

Holding the line.

Three minutes passes.

Right on schedule.

Boone calls the shift.

“Adjusting sequence now.”

The room responds.

Normal.

Expected.

Routine.

Except—

Keller moves.

Just slightly.

Too fast for someone who shouldn’t know the timing changed.

My focus sharpens instantly.

There it is.

“Boone,” I murmur.

“Yeah.”

“You saw that.”

“Yeah.”

A beat.

“He wasn’t supposed to react yet.”

“No.”
