“Yeah, well, I was on my way to check out the work in the twins’ nursery when I got your text, so I made a quick detour,” Dylon said.
“Penn called about Fionn’s final probate hearing. He’s sending me a copy of the notice which I will forward to you. Do you have a plan to handle his fucking uncle?” asked Jackson.
“Yup,” replied Dylon. “And I’ll be going with Fionn again.”
“Fine, but you better clue Hunter in on your plan since he’ll be there also.”
“Noted,” Dylon said, before standing. “By the way, Cody wants to bring the twins to see his mom, do you have any objections?”
“Not at all…I was thinking of doing the same with Daniel, but check with Ian first.”
“Will do.”
After Dylon left, Jackson checked his other messages, forwarding the one from Hunter to Oracle requesting a postponement of his mate’s meeting with her. He wasn’t surprised at Fionn’s hesitation to meet with her today; the only thing he could do was to remind the young dragon he wasn’t alone anymore. Hearing another knock, he called, “Come in.”
Opening it a crack, Theo peeked in and, seeing the Alpha alone, asked, “Do you have Fi’s backpack? Steel said he gave it to you.”
“I do.”
“Can I have it? Fi asked me to bring it to him.”
“Sure, it’s over on the love seat,” Jackson said. Then, thinking for a moment, continued, “Theo, I’m sorry about how I behaved the other day. I was angry about something I shouldn’t have been angry about and you ended up as collateral damage.”
Stopping in his tracks, Theo stared at his Alpha. As far as he knew, Alphasneverapologized for their actions, at least his old Alpha never did. Flustered, Theo nodded and scurried over to grab his friend’s bag. After mumbling ‘thanks’ to Jackson, he quickly left, closing the door quietly behind him.
Sighing, Jackson turned his attention to the pile of paperwork facing him, promising himself he’d make it up to Theo, somehow.

Unpacking two of the trunks, Fionn sorted his clothes before hanging up his suit and dress shirts in the closet and putting the rest in a drawer and on a shelf.
Examining his mate’s meager wardrobe, Hunter asked, “Fionn, did you leave some of your clothes in Scotland?”
“No. Why?”
“Oh, right…you still have a trunk to unpack.”
Dragging it into the closet, Fionn said, “This one’s filled with my personal stuff…not clothes. After my mother died, my father refused to buy me anything to wear. It was one of the ways he tried to find out where my hoard was. By the time Ki rescued me, most of my clothes were too small or too worn so I threw them away and bought some new stuff with the credit cards Jackson gave me. But I didn’t charge a lot to them because it just didn’t feel right…I mean, I’d never met Jackson, didn’t know if I was even going to stay with the Blackwood Pack. But then, when I became part of Theo, Norm, and Ki’s family, I decided to stay.” Fionn flopped down next to Hunter on the bed. “Once my father’s estate is settled, I plan on setting up a bank account and getting my own credit cards and I’m gonna repay Jackson the money I spent.”
“If you need any help, let me know.”
“I will.”
“So what’s next on the agenda?”
“Well, I gotta go to my hoard to get the gold rings for my nipples.” Shaking his head, he continued, “I can’t believeyou had the same idea as me. I love the piercing you have at the tip of your cock so, this morning when I was blowing you, I decided to do my nipples.”
“No fucking way!”
“Yup. I love the idea. The only thing is you can’t come with me when I visit my hoard…at least not yet, but Mystia said she can change that in case I ever wanted to take someone with me…and I want you to see it. My dragon has been after me all morning to take you, because he wants your wolf to see it.”
“Who’s Mystia?”
“She’s a witch…a very good one. She created the cavern for my hoard and the portal for me to access it. Nobody can find it because it’s under one of those mountains out there,” Fionn said, gesturing toward the window.
“How do you contact her?” asked Hunter.
“Through Jackson. He knows her, so I have to ask him. In the meantime, I’ll just go get the rings.” Standing up, Fionn summoned the portal, but before stepping in, he said, “Don’teverstep inside until Mystia alters it; otherwise you’ll die.”
