Reif responded, tearing his lips away, rearing back, placing Brian’s legs over his shoulders, then pumping his hips faster while hitting Brian’s gland on every stroke of his cock. The feral sounds coming from his mate echoed through Reif’s body, terminating at his cock. Reaching down with one hand, he fisted his mate’s cock, stroking it in time to his movements, determined Brian would come first.

Brian’s glazed eyes stared at his mate. His body was on fire—his lust was endlessly fueled—and when Reif stroked his cock, Brian surrendered to the inferno his body had become. Screaming out his mate’s name as he came, Brian’s eruption shot out and up, falling onto his belly, coating him and Reif’s hand with its creamy essence. Above him, he watched his mate’s eyes darken before Reif’s hips stuttered, then stilled as his mate’s jism filled Brian’s ass.

Fucking Nessie was going to become Reif’s favorite thing to do and without a doubt, he’d never get enough. His cock fit perfectly, giving him the most erotic experience he’d had in his long life. With his cock still twitching in Brian’s ass, Reif lifted his cum soaked hand to his mouth, licking every bit of it, before leaning down and kissing his Nessie.

Hugging Reif to his chest, Brian could feel the pounding of their hearts, totally in sync as they floated in the aftermath of their explosion—an explosion so spectacular, he was sure it’d been felt by every shifter in the universe.

Wrapping his arms around Brian, Reif rolled them onto their sides, bodies still connected by his cock. Pulling his head back until his lips were barely touching his mate’s, Reif whispered, “I love you, Nessie…today, tomorrow, forever. I can’t thank the Fates enough for giving me the person who would soothe my soul, allay my fears, and fill my heart with love.”

“Thank ye, my love,” said Brian. “I waited a lifetime for ye. All my life, I wanted a mate, someone to love and take care of. I had given up until ye came along, givin’ me exactly what I’d wished for so long ago. I love ye, Reif, and ye can count on me to be with ye no matter where the winds blow us.”

“Together, forever, Nessie.”

“Ay, forever,” Brian murmured, sealing his vow with a kiss. Then resting his head on his mate’s arm, he closed his eyes, allowing sleep to claim him.

Reif listened to Nessie’s even breathing, relieved his mate wouldn’t see the worry in his eyes. His time spent with Brian was the highlight of his life—he’d treasure it always—but he knew that to spare Nessie the evil Reifwas facing, he’d have to leave him. Hopefully, Kieran would keep his mate safe while he continued to search for the green diamond to fulfill his father’s agreement with the men. Once he turned it over and bought his people’s freedom, his nightmare would be over. Promising to speak with Nessie about it, Reif joined his mate in slumber.

Robin stopped Hunter in the hallway. “Hey, got a minute to talk?”

“Sure. Is my office okay?”

“Perfect,” Robin said, following his brother.

Seated at his desk, Hunter studied the brother sitting across from him, noticing the lines around his eyes and mouth. Whatever Robin wanted to talk about was causing him distress. “What’s the problem?”

Grinning, Robin said, “Not really a problem, but more like I need some information. My agent called. He wants to know when I’ll be back in the recording studio. I put him off because of our upcoming trip but he’s pushing me for a date and I can’t give him one till I know how long you’re planning for us to stay in California.”

“I don’t know,” Hunter said, holding up his hand to forestall any response. “I told Jackson it would be a brief visit, but how long he’ll want us to stay after we get there is anyone’s guess. A week, maybe two, I think, but I do expect they’re going to have a ton of questions.”

“Yeah, I get that,” Robin nodded.

“As much as I wish you didn’t have to go, you know we need you. It’ll be impossible to make this trip without you,” Hunter said. “Do you have all the new material you need for the album?”

“Pretty much so…I still have to figure out melodies for a few, but other than that, I’m ready to roll.”

“Has your agent given you a deadline? What about your record company?” asked Hunter.

“No, but I get the impression they’re pressuring my agent to make it soon,” Robin said.

“What if you give them a firm date…say a month from now...will that ease the pressure?” asked Hunter.

“I can try. You think we’ll be back by then?”

“I do. I get the feeling Jackson isn’t eager for our visit but since we’re family, he’s finding it hard to come up with a reason to deny my request.”

“Mason told me what happened to them,” said Robin. “How do you think they’re going to react?”

“Not a fucking clue. I just hope Jackson will listen to me before reacting. I’m not keen on fighting our cousins,” Hunter said.

“Me, neither.”

“Hey, have you figured out what you’re taking?” asked Hunter.

“Probably just my guitar and a duffle bag…not much else. Why?”

“Quin…”
