“I’m not planning on leaving you, but having my own LLC, my own checks, my own deals makes me feel safe.”
He leaned over and kissed my cheek. “And I want you to always have your own. Even while I make sure you never worry about a bill as long as I’m breathing.”
I turned toward him, grabbed his face, and kissed him slow. He pulled me in closer, into his seat, forcing me to straddle him.
When I pulled back, I smiled. “If you keep kidnapping me from my work like this, I’m going to start invoicing you as a client.”
Big A’s eyes held mine. “Send whatever invoice you want, Mrs. Jabbar.”
His voice dropped to a low growl that sent heat rushing through me. Before I could respond, he reached out and grabbed a fistful of my hair, yanking my head back hard to expose the full length of my neck. The pull stung, making my pulse hammer in my throat. He leaned in close, and then his mouth crashed against my neck in a deep French kiss. His tongue swirled and sucked, tracing wet circles along my pulse point. His teeth grazed just enough to make me gasp. As he devoured my neck, his free hand fumbled with his zipper, pulling out his thick dick, already hard and throbbing in his grip.
I felt the air cool against the wetness he left on my skin, but there was no time to catch my breath. With a rough tug, he ripped a hole right through my leggings at my pussy. The cool air hit my bare folds, as he gripped my hips and lifted me effortlessly before slamming me down onto his dick. He buriedhimself deep in one brutal thrust, stretching my pussy wide around his girth, filling me completely as I cried out from the sudden invasion. His hands clamped on my ass, holding me impaled on him, rocking me slowly at first to let me adjust to the burn, but I could feel the violence building in his grip, promising more.

RHYTHM BROOKS
Saturday night at Sincere’s condo felt like the kind of peace I used to pray for. KJ was posted up on a chair at the island. Kinsley kept trying to sneak shredded cheese out of the bowl when she thought nobody was watching. Sincere had his sleeves pushed up and flour dusted on his hands, talking to my kids like he’d been doing it for years.
We made pizzas from scratch. Dough, pizza sauce and toppings were lined up in front of us like it was a cooking show. KJ took his job seriously too. He sprinkled pepperoni with focus and kept telling Kinsley how to do it correctly. “You have to spread the cheese evenly.”
Kinsley nodded like she understood but then dropped a whole handful of shredded cheese in one spot.
Sincere laughed and wiped cheese off her fingers before it got in her hair. “Girl, you’re piling it up. You gotta share it with the whole pizza.”
Kinsley giggled and leaned into him like she trusted him. That did something to me. I watched him interact with my kids like it was natural. There wasn’t any awkwardness between them, and he wasn’t trying too hard. He listened to KJ’s longstories like they were actually interesting, and he picked Kinsley up when she would whine like he was prepared to spoil her more than me.
When the pizzas finally went in the oven, KJ kept staring through the glass like he was guarding them. Kinsley curled up on the couch with her juice cup. Sincere turned to a family friendly movie on Netflix. It was weird for me to sit beside him and lean into him because my kids hadn’t seen me with any other man. And though I knew Sincere’s intent was to never leave me, he had no control over the future. I didn’t want my kids to be forced to fall out of love with another father figure. But I forced my motherly instincts to just trust this man with my kids too, and got comfortable in his shadow.
“I’ve been thinking about quitting my job.”
Sincere looked down at me intrigued.
“My art is selling,” I continued. “It’s making me more money than my job is making me at this point.”
“If you have more time for your art, you can make even more money.”
“I keep trying to squeeze my gift into the hours somebody else left for me. That’s not how it’s supposed to work.”
“Exactly.”
“But I’m still nervous.”
“Quit anyway.”
“Sincere, it’s not that easy.”
“Quit,” he gently pressed. “And if things don’t work out, I got you.” When he saw me nervously biting my bottom lip, he turned towards me. “You’re stepping out on faith and trusting what God gave you. So do it one hundred percent. I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you made the right decision.”
I nodded because I didn’t have anything else to say without crying.
When the pizzas were done, we ate at the table. KJ talked Sincere’s ear off, and Sincere listened, asked questions, and made my son feel like what he was saying was important.
After dinner, Kinsley fell asleep first, curled up on the couch. KJ fought it longer, but his eyes kept drifting. Sincere carried him to the guest room, then came back and did the same with Kinsley.
When he returned to the living room, he slid his hand around my waist and kissed me slowly. His fingers dug into my side with rough hands that suddenly turned gentle in the sexiest moment. He traced light circles over my hip as he pulled away just enough to murmur against my lips, “Come with me.”
He didn't wait for an answer. He guided me down the hall to his bedroom. Once inside, he peeled away my clothes. His gaze raked over every inch of my naked body.
