A voice yelled in the distance with my first sip of the delicious nectar, but I ignored it, sinking my fangs deeper into Dante’s neck. A deep grunt left his throat, the sound caressing my ear and making my insides tighten around his hardness while I continued to ride him.

He felt sizzling hot, perfectly hard, and deliciously swollen as my body stroked him, the feeling heightening the ravenous need I felt for him right now.

Dante’s arms wrapped around my back, bringing me closer to him until my breasts pressed against his chest, and a smile tilted my lips on his neck. He wanted this. He wanted me to drink from him, and I was delighted to oblige.

Slowly, I sucked Dante’s neck once again, allowing myself to indulge in this strange need that had awakened in me. In the taste of him like this.

A hand gripped my arm.

The voice begged me to stop.

Yet, it was the sudden, strange feeling clamping around my heart that made me falter.

“Be gentle with him. We love him…”Natasha’s voice awoke inside my head.

Unease filled my chest, and I begrudgingly lifted my mouth from Dante’s throat, licking a crimson drop that escaped down his skin. Leaving a gentle kiss on his neck, right where my fangs had pierced it, I lifted my head to find his eyelids lazily lifting.

Dante seemed dazed when he looked at me, and I searched his eyes, hating the worry that now constricted my chest.

Had I gone too far? Did I hurt him?

“There’s nothing to worry about,Cuore mio.I know you would never hurt me.”One of Dante’s rare, true smiles curvedhis lips, and he caressed my cheek. A knowing gleam illuminated his forest-green eyes.

I suddenly realized he had spoken into my mind, and I lifted a single brow at him, causing his smile to widen.

“How did you enter my mind?”I answered in thought, testing the connection. He’d always used it with Natasha, butIwasmenow, not her, and I had never experienced it.

“You opened your mind fully to me when you claimed me again…” he answered out loud. “Or, technically, when you opened your legs to me again.”

My hard smack landed on his arm before he could see it coming, but it only made him laugh.

“You do know you are not punishing him with that, right? He likes it when we hit him.”The voice returned to my mind, but it wasn’t Natasha’s.

“Star?”

“It’s Starlight. Put some respect on my name.”

I snorted at that.“That’s too long, and I have no patience for this. Star it is.”

She growled at me at the same time that Dante chuckled, wonder capturing him.

“Did you hear her?”

“Yes… I heard them both.”

Hmmm. Interesting. He could hear us all now?

My gaze snapped to his neck when tendrils of shadow slithered out of his skin, immediately healing the punctures my fangs left. When my eyes returned to his, a spark of mischief burned bright in them.

“So, it’s more like Ican’thurt you?” I asked, uncertain how far his shadow healing went when it came to my powers.

“Oh, you can do far more than hurt me,” he clarified, leaning impossibly closer until his breath fanned my mouth. “You couldkill me. Incinerate me until there is nothing left of me, but I know you would never do it. I’m yours…”

His fingers tenderly brushed a wild strand that had settled on my cheek, his bottomless gaze admiring my features. At that moment, I knew what Natasha had seen in him, felt in him, what had made her love him. It was far more than the mixture of power, danger, and gentleness that exuded from him with his every breath.

It was the way he felt… like our true home.

With a wicked smirk and knowing exactly what I was thinking, Dante gripped my hair and pulled me closer.
