“The group wanted to get everything ready for you.” I hold a finger up to my lips. “Shhh. Don’t tell Molly I told you, but she even planned an influencer event for tomorrow night.”

“If I were one of those girls in my books, I totally would faint right now.” She playfully places the back of her hand on her forehead to “faint”.

I lead her into the store, the door opens with a chime, and everyone turns to face us and yells out "CONGRATULATIONS" all at once. Kyra starts to cry instantly. I know they are not tears of sadness, but still. Pulling her into my chest, I wrap my arms around her and show her all of the love I can.

Nyx runs up to me, where I have a crying Kyra wrapped in my embrace, and she pulls her out of my hold.

“What did you do to her?” Nyx snaps at me.

“Absolutely nothing,” I answer back.

“Nixie, stop. He didn’t do anything. I am just so overwhelmed by everything. The house, the store, this party. It’s a lot in one day.” Kyra pulls her best friend into a hug before Nyx drags her over to the counter, and Molly pours her a drink before coming around and hugging her.

All of the guys are mingling over in the corner, just watching over everyone. I head over and give each of them a hug. A chorus of congrats and back slaps comes from all of them. Graham never fails to surprise me, and he pulls me in for a big hug. Not one of those bro hugs where it’s some sort of handshake meets back slap, but a real big brother hug. David runs over to the counter and grabs a beer from Molly before bringing it back over to me.

“I am so proud of you, Little Bro, I am so glad that you have found your one. The last year has been rough, but you have everything you could ever want now. I love you.” Graham has never been shy with his feelings, but this feels like so much more than his normal.

Clink, Clink, Clink.

I look to the center of the room and see Kyra standing there, radiant as ever, with her glass in her hand. She is wearing a simple light pink dress with ruffles that make her look like a real-life Disney Princess in everyday clothes. Her smile fills her whole face, and I am so lucky to be the one who helped put that smile there.

“I first want to thank my Devil Dog family for everything. I am not sure where I would be without you all.” She starts with.

“With a dipshit that no one likes,” Nyx calls out with a laugh.

“Oh, right, ya you are probably right.” Kyra laughs. “I cannot wait to see what the rest of this life will bring me, but I cannot wait to celebrate with all of you.” She raises her glass in a cheers, and the whole room does the same.

Taking a large swig out of my beer, I just smile. I can’t wait to love this woman forever and bring her all her dreams. She is my sunshine in the dark, and I never knew how much I needed that sunshine.

EPILOGUE

KYRA

One year later

This last year has been a wild ride. The Blushing Bean is thriving. We host multiple book clubs a month, and the cafe/bar is doing amazing. I am so proud of everything that I have accomplished over the last year and a half. Also, the growth that has happened.

It is a warm and sunny day on the island of Curaçao, and it is also my wedding day. Callum came through with my dreams of a gorgeous beach wedding at sunset. This island is absolutely breathtaking. We are getting married on a small little private resort on the west side of the island, and I cannot wait to finally call Callum my husband.

The sunshine is coming through the gauzy curtains of my hotel room. Enjoying a slow morning, I am sipping on my coffee in bed when there is a knock at the door.

“Knock, knock, beautiful!” Nyx comes into my room with her dress bag in hand.

Callum is sleeping with Graham and Demitri. Nyx slept in here last night, but her guys wanted to take her to breakfast this morning, so she snuck off while I was still sleeping. Roomservice was delivered to my room a few hours ago with a cute note from Cal.

“Good morning, my beautiful bride. I can’t wait to see you at the end of that aisle. I love you.”

He had a giant breakfast burrito sent to the room, with a giant carafe of coffee and a little bowl of fruit. Cal knows exactly what I would want to start my day with.

“Good morning, Nixie!” I climb out of the giant bed and give her a hug.

“Are you ready to marry Cal?” She holds me in her arms.

“Absofuckinglutely!” We both burst into a fit of laughter, and she breaks off to pull her dress out of the garment bag.

Her dress is sky blue, made of light, flowy chiffon material. The straps come up and tie at the top of her shoulders in cute bows, and the skirt has ruffles that I can’t wait to see blow in the wind.

My dress is blush lace, and surprisingly, the only sparkle on the dress is a belt we added. It also makes my boobs look amazing, and I can’t wait for Callum to see them!
