And then we see when Dominic starts coming; the blue and green of her eyes glitter like fireworks. He works her more, fucking her into an orgasm that seems to go on and on. Her eyes go wide, then she’s squeezing them shut. Hen pulls us out of her mouth, and then he works us to climax, painting her face with our seed.
She opens her mouth as if to scream, but she doesn’t make a sound.
Dominic does though. He growls, his fingers holding her still before he throws his head back and roars.
And then she fucking ruins us, her voice soft and timid but strong and clear too. “We are doing that again.”
SIMONA
“We could do something like this,” Hendrix suggests.
“A party with this many people? Have you lost your goddamn mind?” I turn around to triple check I actually heard right. And to make sureI’m speaking to my Alpha because the man behind me is acting like he does not know me.
The humour in his sparkling green eyes is obvious. I stare at him, making sure he sees my sincerity, and then I grimace dramatically to emphasise my distaste. “No party, Hendrix. Ever. Parties involve people.”
He pretends he’s shocked, pulling me even closer, his lips ghosting over my claim. “What about your plans for having the girls at Noire?”
I don’t get the chance to answer him. Puck claps his hands together and everyone settles down to listen. Of course, before he says a word, he kisses my bestie without a care in the world but that’s what today is all about for them. The end of an era, the start of another.
By the time Puck finished saying his thanks to King, there’s not a dry eye among the guests.
Puck searches each of us Scorned Girls out. “And to Raney’s Scorned Girls, holy shit, you bitches are more intimidating than Koz. But by god, I fucking admire you. Tal, Hayes and I can’t thank you enough for putting our girl back together and for constantly reminding her that fairy tales do come true, even when we broke her. I guess it’s in part because of you guys that we’re standing here with Raney as our Omega, and our fucking pack solid as it is. We owe you and thank you.”
I sink against Hendrix, overwhelmed for a few reasons. Reminded once more that not only are these girls my besties for life, but our lives were inadvertently and mysteriously entangled before we knew the reasons ourselves. But that’sthe beauty of fate and destiny, it’s only when you look back at something that you can see how everything happens when and as it should.
Everyone’s focus returns to Puck as he turns to face my bestie. “I love you, Raney. I always have and will till the day I die.” As he steps near his first love, he curls his arm protectively around her, and a television switches on where a reporter is standing on the front of Senator Anders’ family home. The journalist gives an update on Senator Anders’ missing wife, then switching the story from a missing person to the sordid detail of the Anders family’s crimes and corruption. The reporter barely takes a breath, her words pour out, but a huge explosion interrupts her live cross-over. The camera man swings around and we all watch the blast flatten the Anders home.
I jump a mile at the noise as everyone at Raney’s baby shower starts cheering and applauding.
Hendrix’s arms tighten, and he holds me closer, knowing how much I hate being around so much noise and the frenetic energy, but also understanding I wouldn’t miss being here for the world.
Seeing the Anders Empire get the just dessert for what they did to Raney and Puck is worth my discomfort. It also provides us another path we could take if we ever need to. So far though, the founding families have left us alone.
Hen presses another kiss, our bond full of the reassurance of my other pack mates. My phone buzzes and I know it’s Ryder letting me know he’ll see us soon. Dom can’t be here, something about Koz pushing lawyer privilege too far, so he’s already with Ryder.
One more night, and we’re all back home. Thankfully.
“And who do you think is going to spill their secrets next?” he whispers. “I’ll put money on Heidi. What about you?”
Turning around, I loop my arms up and pull him down, getting lost in his thunderstorm scent. His tongue licks over mine, and I nearly forget to answer him.
“I think Heidi too. As long as everyone is safe, what does it matter if we have secrets?”
But I can see the concern still swirling through his eyes. And it’s not for my Scorned Girls.
“Hen, not every Omega wants a coming out party. You know something like today isn’t me. I’m thrilled for Raney, but I don’t need, or want, this. At all. I won. And I keep celebrating that win every day. Honestly, what more could I want?”
“I want to give you everything your heart desires,” he says, pressing our foreheads together.
“You do every day. There’s nothing more perfect than my life with my pack. And we all know it’s only going to get better.”
“You have a point.”
“Oh wait, there is one thing,” I say softly, and he leans down close. “We need to leave pretty soon.”
I grab his hand and press it to my stomach. He looks a little crazy, like he isn’t sure what’s going on.
“It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it?”
