“Bro, you treat my girl right?”
Gabe’s eyes haven’t moved off me. His focus gets a little side-tracked by my nakedness, but with the next phase of my heat, clothes are feeling constrictive and unnecessary really.
“He sure did.” I smile between each of Gabe’s kisses, and then he looks at his brother. And the fun in the room dissipates in the blink of an eye.
“Valak?”
I interrupt and answer Gabe. “I’m fine.”
“Jesus, not you woman. I know you don’t break, but my brother has a stinky look in his eye. What gives?”
I laugh, and the purr from my latest lover’s chest rolls into a growl of warning.
“Let me feed her, and then I can try to figure out how best to put it. But honestly, Gabe, I need to hold her and then I’ll be good.”
I watch from below as the two of them look and watch each other closely. And what I see makes me feel like I’m interrupting something very private. Without saying a word, they are talking and sharing, I just know it. Watching the way they are with each other, the clear and obvious depth and intimacy to their relationship, it makes me a tad jealous as I realise how much I want what they have. My scent changes to match my mood, making them both turn to look at me, their eyes a mix of emotion, the strongest being surprise.
“You smell a little…”
“Yeah, yeah, it’s my heat.” I wave them off, reaching up to give Valak a kiss with lots of tongue before I push out of his arms. Not moving away, I press right up against him and pull his arm over the top of my body, hooking his hand on my hip. I look up to Gabe. “You want some pancakes?”
Instead of answering, Gabe undresses before being all smirky and cocky, which is a lethal combination for my pussy. “What? You two are naked, I felt left out. You smell better… were you seriously getting jealous before?”
“Sibling envy is a real thing, Gabe.” I roll my eyes at him, avoiding the issue.
“Yeah, so are twinsomes. And we are doing all that and more. So, eat up, because seriously, we’re dragging you to your nest soon so we can absolutely destroy each other. Cool?”
I start laughing because what else can you say to Gabe?
“Hey, just so you know, it’s all good if Val touches my dick but there’s a few lines I won’t cross. I mean, colour me surprised, but I am not that free…”
“Oh my god, Gabe, I get it. Shut up!” I blabber, getting immediately where he’s going with it.
“Now, I might consider blowing Lincoln, just to see what age does to a man but…”
“Gabe!” I squeal.
“Noah, I’d definitely tap his ass.”
“Gabe!” I scream at him to shut up. Unbothered, he shrugs and walks to the fridge getting ingredients out.
Our antics attract Lincoln and Noah. For a brief moment, I worry about what they’ll think, until I remember we’ve well and truly moved past that awkwardness.
Lincoln walks up to me, his hand cupping the side of my face, his thumb trailing over my cheek. “What are you making, dove?” he asks after a prolonged pause.
“Pancakes.”
With a soft smile, Lincoln turns on his toes and walks over to the cupboard. “I have the correct skillet for you to use, let me get it. Maple syrup?”
“Oh my god, can we do bacon too?” I goofy smile over at Lincoln.
“If you eat them together, that is likely to change my opinion of you, Lennon,” Noah says, making a beeline straight for me. “You okay?” he asks, going to kiss the top of my head.
“Yeah,” I smile, moving my head so he kisses my lips instead.
“I have to say, naked cooking is actually really dangerous. And from a medical perspective, can we not? And before you all start laughing,” Noah’s tone doesn’t pick up the play that is in his eyes, but the others are catching on to how he is, “the statistics for scarring injury are pretty high. Sadly, I have treated patients with serious burns, including one poor alpha who nearly burnt his cock clean off making something in a deep fryer.”
Valak doesn’t crack a smile when he answers Noah. “She’s not cooking.” And then he accepts an apron Lincoln passes over. It’s hard not to giggle, and at other times I’d be arguing that he’s not nude-cooking for me like he promised, but with my heat fast approaching, it’s a risk I don’t think we should take.
