I close my eyes; owning this man is such a rush.
“Open your eyes, Lennon, there’s nothing better than watching your pleasure explode in your eyes. Come with me.”
One brush of my finger over my clit and my body locks up, and I struggle to keep my eyes open. Valak waits until I’m ready. Then he waits again until I’ve got my fingers in my pussy. He lets go and fills my throat with thick hot spurts of his come. He comes on a roar, his back arching up as he finishes before he drags me up his body and buries his thick fingers in my pussy too, watching me intently as my orgasm floods my system.
The both of us kind of look cross-eyed at each other before dissolving in a fit of breathless laughter. I collapse on his chest, luxuriating in the rapid beat of his heart and the way he holds me like he’s worried I’ll float away. But of course, if we don’t hurry, a search party will be called soon.
“Do you think they know?” I ask as he helps me pull my running shorts back on properly.
“That we do this at every mile mark? Yeah, Lennon, I’m sure they do. You smell insane when you’ve come. It’s like an aphrodisiac on your skin.”
“Is that why you won’t let them start running with us?” I look up at him innocently.
He chuckles, pulling his shorts on, then jumping up to standing. Holding his hands out for me, he pulls me up before he kisses the absolute bejesus out of me.
“Love you, Lennon,” he whispers. His confession comes every day now, and each time I hear it my chest thuds like it did the first time he said them back at Bailey’s.
“Yeah, right back at you, big guy.”
The rest of our morning jog is easy. We laugh and joke around, stopping for more kisses at each of the mile markers before we finally make it to the guard station which has been set up just five miles from our place. The guards had a temporary shed installed while they work on a more permanent one.
I guess I expected only to see the guards on duty, not Gabriel in his suit talking at someone. He’s looming over the person, too, making it so I can’t see past him. There’s no missing his mood, I feel his anger like ants bitting my skin, but weirdly it’s like the ants are happy biting ants, which means Gabe’s fucked off, but also kind of enjoying himself.
Honestly, it’s not the weirdest thing that’s happened since we’ve all been together, but still I reach out to him to calm him, but to also let him know I’m here in case he needs me.
“Gabe,” I reach out for his back, and it’s lucky Val’s behind me to catch me, because I nearly fall to my ass when Gabe shuffles close to me and unveils Fez.
There’s a lot of people—groupies mainly—that think Fez is attractive. He boasts endlessly about having ‘animal magnetism’. I have to say, there’s not one thing about him I find attractive. I can see past his olive skin, his long curly hair, and way past his ‘lush’ lips; narcissism and vindictiveness are never attractive qualities. I haven’t seen him for a while, but it kind of seems like he’s been losing the battle with his addictions because he looks even worse than normal. But his eyes are still like I remember, full of entitlement and contempt.
“Hey, Len.” Gabe cuddles me into his side, but I try to keep a bit of distance between Fez and me. “I was just talking toourex-client here, giving him the rundown of how life’s going to be from now on.”
“What?” I ask, my question coming out like a screech.
“See, Fez fell hook, line, and fucking sinker for me being you. One fucking email offering him a big wad of cash to keep quiet, and look at the little fucking junkie standing here nearly pissing his pants now he realises his mistake. And your pack of alphas are about to eat this tool for breakfast!”
I was so caught up and shocked at seeing Fez, that for a few moments I completely missed seeing Noah and Lincoln, also looking hot AF in matching business attire. Gabriel looks so pleased with himself, and the others look absolutely goddamn delicious, leaning against our off-road buggy.
Doing my best at being serious, because they’re looking way too dangerous for me to be anything but turned on, I turn to them, waving my arm around trying to keep their scents away. “Do one of you want to explain to me what’s going on? Slowly. I’ve just run five miles.”
“And some,” Val adds on a purr, making me swing a glare at him, but he’s blank faced.
I shove at him. “You did not!”
“Len,and some? What the fuck, Valak?” Gabe growls before pushing his brother in the chest.
Fez looks like he’s got no fucking clue what’s going on, his head flipping and flopping from one side to the other. When Noah takes a step forward and cracks his knuckles, Fez’s eyes go as wide as saucers.
And then my most favourite surgeon in the world starts explaining. “This little junkie here, Lennon, is responsible for selling you out to the government.”
“We knew that already.” I shrug, already knowing my pack is about to destroy this sell out.
“Yeah, well, like Gabriel said, we’ve been playing with him for a few days now, but now we’re really going to start.” Noah’s using his detached doctor tone which sends me over the edge. My athletic thong does little to catch the slick now soaking through my running shorts. I take a step towards Val and Lincoln, the both of them groaning when they smell me.
“Don’t blame me! Look at you all, dressed like that,” I flick my hand around, “being so… alpha-ish too. You’re lucky I’m not humping your leg,” I whisper furiously at them before purposely turning my back on the chuckling fiends and refocusing on Fez, who’s currently crumbling under Noah’s scrutiny.
“Come on, fellas, I didn’t mean anything by it.”
Noah, Lincoln, and Gabe all recoil like they physically got slapped. And tension goes from fifty to eighty. Before things can get too messed up too quickly, I jump in. “Fez, talking isn’t your strong point. Maybe shut up and listen to them, hey?”
