The men parted, and the most beautiful bike, one painted up like a galaxy, came into view.

Scorpio immediately stopped, his knees buckling beneath him. I never saw a man crumble like that before, but it was like the bike had dismantled him.

“Galaxy?” he whispered. “How? It was blown up.”

“Well, luckily there was enough of it left to fix it back up to its former glory. We had to redo the paint, and some of the body is new, but it’s the same frame… the same bike you used to ride.”

Legit tears pricked his eyes as he fought to stand, practically rushing over to the motorcycle. He looked over at Juliette and grinned. “It’s my dad’s bike, Juliette! Can you believe it?”

She smiled, her hand resting on the tiny baby bump that was starting to form. “I know. I used some of my resources to help them restore it for you.”

“I can’t believe you guys did this for me!” he stuttered out in complete shock. “I thought it was lost forever.”

“Nope. Much like our club, it just needed to be pieced back together,” Zodiac exclaimed, patting his VP on the back.

Pincher stepped forward, his head hanging in shame. “I’m glad you got your bike back, Scorpio. I’m sorry I took it from you in the first place.”

“It’s okay, Prospect. I know why you did it, and I don’t blame you. Thank you for trying to save it for me. You put your life on the line, and for that, I’ll always be thankful.”

Pincher beamed proudly, just as Nicholas looked my way.

Now was as good of time as any.

I cleared my throat, stepping forward until I was standing at Cap’s side. “I heard you were in need of a bike,” I said, breaking the silence that fell over the club. Motioning to Chase’s bike, I added. “This was my late husband’s bike. I was going to sell it, but I’d rather it go to someone who will take care of it and treasure it as much as he did.”

Pincher looked at me in confusion, then at all the other members of the club. He was just a prospect, but he was the only one without a bike, and from what Cap had told me, the kid wouldn’t be able to afford one even if he tried. Chase would’ve wanted him to have it. “Wait, are you saying it’s for me?”

Nicholas nodded. “Yeah, man. Ruby wants you to have the bike. You deserve it, kid. After everything you’ve been through lately, and all that’s gone down, you need something good to happen to you.”

“I—I don’t know what to say. I can’t possibly take this. It wouldn’t be right.”

Holding up a hand, I silenced him. “No, seriously, please take the bike. I have no use for it anymore, and I want you to have it.”

A glorious smile spread across his face like wildfire. You could see how thankful he was with the way his eyes danced and shimmered in the light. The kid had been given scraps his entire life, and since finding the Celestial Sons MC, he was now living a life he probably never dreamed he could have. I noticed that Archer had taken a liking to him—not in a weird way, buta fatherly way. Pincher seemed like the kind of kid that never had that in his life, and for once, letting go of something that belonged to Chase—a big part of his life, didn’t feel like my heart was being squeezed by a vice inside my chest. It felt right.

“Thank you,” he whispered, tears forming but not falling from his eyes. I could tell that he was one of those kids that was told it wasn’t okay to cry. Chase was that way… Pincher reminded me of him in a lot of ways.

I handed him over the title to the bike and grinned. “It’s already signed, you just have to register it and get your license.”

Archer stepped forward. “Don’t worry, Prospect. I’ll help you with that.”

The bond these two shared was definitely heartwarming. I watched them walk off together, Pincher looking over Chase’s bike with pride in his eyes. Yes, this is definitely the right thing to do.

A female hand patted my shoulder. “That was so nice of you, Ruby. I know that must’ve been hard for you,” Tess exclaimed as baby Brooklyn squirmed in her arms.

“Yeah, but I know Chase would’ve wanted this to happen. He loved that bike, and with the way Pincher is staring at it, I can tell he’ll love it just as much too.”

“The men here are good men, Ruby. I heard about your run-in with the Hell’s Artillery. I can assure you, Cap and the rest of the guys aren’t like that.”

Glancing over at Cap, I smiled, knowing she was right. “I know. I thank God every day for bringing that man into my life when he did.” Shamefully, I looked over at her, my smile replaced with a frown. “I wouldn’t be here if he didn’t.”

Tess nodded her head. “But I am so glad you are. We need more good women around here. Not that the others are bad, but some, like Rosalie who is Scales’ wife, like to cause trouble.”

“How come I never see her around here?”

“It’s a long story, but basically, she was one of the reasons that Zodiac and I parted ways back in the day. Once she admitted to her part in everything, Ulrich kicked her out. She’s not welcomed back, and it’s the reason why you don’t see Scales around here very much anymore. The man is torn in so many ways.”

We both glanced over at the older biker, who was standing off on his own, looking lost in thought.
