His cheeky response sent chills down Donna’s spine. Her entire body responded, remembering how she’d cried out when his thick dick was filling her completely.

He grinned and moved closer to Bella. “Hello, beautiful,” he greeted with a hug.

Bella’s smile was filled with excitement. “Linc, I’m so happy you made it. Lucas was worried that you wouldn’t be able to get away.”

“I worked it out. After all, he is my favorite brother.”

Bella lips pursed. “I’ve heard you say that to all of your brothers.”

Lincoln grinned, displaying perfect white teeth. “Keep that to yourself,” he said with a wink.

“Will do. I’m gonna go find Lucas. He’ll be so happy to see you.”

Donna watched as Bella hurried away in search of Lucas. She knew Lincoln was watching her because his gaze was searing her skin. She turned slowly and looked up at him. His glare glimmered with an emotion she didn’t recognize.

“Hi,” she greeted in a weak voice.

“So, when you said all you wanted was a couple of hours, you meant it, huh?”

Her breath hitched. His question had caught her by surprise.

‘Damn! Just jump right into it.’

“Um…no. Lincoln, I’m sorry. I got an undercover assignment the next day. I only recently just wrapped it up.”

“There are no phones undercover?” he questioned with a frown.

“It’s complicated.”

“Who’s the guy?”

Surprised again, Donna blinked rapidly. She’d been standing with her sister when he arrived.

“How do you know I’m with a guy?”

“I’ve been here a while, Donatella.” When her brow wrinkled, he said, “I’m trained to be invisible.”

“Good to know,” Donna scoffed.

“The guy? Who’s the guy?”

“Just a guy. As a matter of fact, he’s a guy I’ve abandoned. Don’t wanna be rude. I’ll see you later, Colonel.”

“You will,” he muttered as she walked away.

Donna made her way over to Zach, hoping that was a promise.

“Hey, isn’t that the governor?” Zach asked, smiling as if he were a groupie.

“No. That’s his younger brother.”

“Oh. They look just alike.”

Donna took a seat in the lawn chair next to his and found herself comparing Zach to Lincoln. Zach was definitely a good-looking man. He was tall with a nice build and a great smile. Although he was half-white, he had a beautiful milk-chocolate complexion. The two of them made for a nice photo. However, appearance-wise, his looks couldn’t hold a candle to Lincoln. Lincoln’s masculine jawline, full luscious lips, and striking green eyes were worthy of a magazine cover. He was stop your heart, quicken your breath fine as fuck. In addition, there was a ruggedness about him that Zach, the ambitious prosecutor, didn’t have.

“Is the governor coming?”

Donna rolled her eyes. “Your slip is showing,” she muttered. “I’ll be back. I’m gonna go grab a drink.”
