Lincoln nodded. “Yeah, if detonated indoors, it sounds just like a bomb.”

Victor didn’t question Lincoln’s explanation. He was very familiar with all things incendiary.

“What the hell? Kids?” Lucas asked. “Did anyone see who did it?”

Jagger shook his head. “No. Someone just tossed it through the door. We’ll pull security tapes once we secure the governor.”

“Was anyone hurt?” Victor asked, concerned about the stampede of bodies struggling to get out of the restaurant.

“No. Nothing serious, sir. Let’s get you out of here.”

Unable to figure out why someone would throw or leave an explosive device more so meant to make noise in a restaurant, Victor turned to Lincoln and Lucas with furrowed brows. “What the hell was that all about?”

They both shrugged. Since no one was hurt, Victor could only assume that it wasn’t a terrorist attack.

“Are you riding with me?” he asked.

“Hell, no.” Lincoln chuckled. “Folks are throwing bombs at your ass. I’m riding with Luc.”

“Fuck off! That shit might have been for you, GI Joe. ISIS might have followed your ass back to the US.”

“Victor,” Lucas interjected. “We’ll meet you at the penthouse.”

Victor agreed and allowed Gregor and his security detail to escort him out of the restaurant. Once secured inside the vehicle, Jagger sat in the driver’s seat and Gregor slid in the backseat next to him. He was glaring angrily at Victor when he asked, “Why the hell do you even keep me around?”

“Your sparkling personality,” Victor muttered, fastening his seatbelt.
