TAYLOR

“Honey, is she not the most beautiful baby in the world?” Even though Victor was speaking more to his daughter than to Taylor, she agreed. “She is.”

“Is that Daddy’s girl?” he cooed.

Taylor looked up at her family and smiled. Victor looked like a giant, cradling their tiny 5lb. 6oz. baby girl in his arms. Less than an hour before, she had gone to sleep not knowing whether or not she and her baby would be okay. But when she woke, and the fog cleared, a nurse was placing her perfect little girl in her arms. She couldn’t wait for Victor to see the beauty they’d created. And when he met her for the first time, it was nothing less than love at first sight. The tears that fell from her husband’s eyes brought her to tears. The beautiful display of love and raw emotion from her strong as oak husband was precious and heartwarming.

They introduced her to their waiting friends and family as Victoria Nicole Creed. Even though their little angel was named after her father, grown-up Victoria was tickled pink, begging to be present when they told Bella.

Once everyone had a chance to see that she and the baby were fine with their own eyes, they didn’t stay long. Once they were gone, Victor filled her in on everything she’d missed. Sadly, she learned of the attack on the Devereaux family. And, to her shock and horror, she found out that it was her sister’s fiancé that had been responsible for filming them making love and uploading it to the internet. Thankfully, Lincoln’s friend was some kind of a computer geek and was able to quickly remove the video. Unfortunately, Taylor knew all too well that once in the Cloud, always in the Cloud.

“Sweetheart, when are her eyes gonna turn green?”

Taylor laughed. It was Victor’s 4thtime questioning his daughter’s blue eyes.

“I told you a lot of babies are born with blue eyes. They’ll change.”

“Xander and Jay are walking around high-fiving each other. Even got Mom doing it.”

“Honey, whereas I do recognize that strong Creed blood, I did put in half on this baby. She might get my brown eyes.”

Victor looked up from his daughter with a grin. He placed the baby in the little hospital bassinet and carefully slipped in bed next to her. He slid his arm behind her and eased her to his chest.

“Everything that she gets from you is what will make her beautiful,” he whispered against her forehead before kissing her softly.
