“Crossbones,” she said with a smile. “Trey is taking me so you don’t have to worry.”

I immediately thought of the last time we were there, with Tee and Tori. “Okay, I’ll see you later. And babe, before you go, if anyone gives you shit…”

“I can handle myself, plus I doubt they’ll start shit with Frankie there. That’s one bitch who won’t back down.”

I kissed her again, something I couldn’t stop doing, before I let her go. Her strut as she walked to the door, casually throwing her head over her shoulder and winking, before disappearing through it, almost did me in.

Fuck me, I was in trouble.

The boys were all enjoying a mid-morning beverage by the time I came downstairs. Cherry handed me my coffee, already knowing I was going to need it.

“Anything to report?” I asked her, surprised at how gruff my voice was. She smirked, a knowing look in her eyes.

“Nothing crazy, Prez,” she said. “Beast is back, in the Chapel.”

Great.

I nodded at her, downed my short black and headed into Chapel. Beast and Knight sat side by side. I’d known them back before they dressed differently, back when you couldn’t tell themapart. Sitting down at my seat, I waited for them to start. Knight nudged Beast.

“Prez, I…found something out.”

I waited, unsure I was going to like what I was about to hear. “From who?”

“Listen to him, Prez. We can discuss the ins and outs of how he found out later.”

I nodded at Knight, and turned back to his wayward brother. The one who had held so much promise until he’d had his heart stomped on and what was left in its wake was what I was looking at now.

A man, lost, and fucking his way through every unavailable woman he could find.

“Speak,” I told him, leaning forward on the table.

“Tee and Tori are planning something,” he said. “Against your woman.”

“They wouldn’t dare. I claimed her as mine publicly. They know the rules.”

“Since when have they cared for rules?” Knight interjected. He’d always had a problem with the bitches that ran in the club.

“How do you know this?” I asked him, my patience wearing thin.

“One of my…women…she works at Crossbones, and she overhead the plan to…do something about her.”

Maverick entered the room, looking from the boys to me, and smirking. “Something up?”

“Sit,” I ordered. His smile disappeared, luckily for him or I’d cut it off his face. Maverick took his seat next to me, and listened to Knight recount what Beast had said.

“And how reliable is this…woman of yours?” Maverick asked.

“Solid,” Beast said. “She wouldn’t lie. She has nothing to gain from it, but I know she’s loyal to the club.”

“Well as long as she stays close, or with one of us, I doubt we’ll have a problem.”

My fear shot through me. I’d wanted to give her freedom, a life where I trusted she could look after herself. I knew she could, I’d seen what she did to the men in my shed, but if she was surprised by two women hellbent on hurting her…

I shot out of my seat and headed to the door, without dismissing them. My mind was on the fact that my woman just walked into Crossbones without anyone to protect her. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and hit Trey’s number. I didn’t want to alert Rowan to me coming for her and piss her off unless I had to.

Once I got to my bike, I saw Chaos and Maverick heading my way. The only two crazy enough to not ask questions and just follow. Shadow was a close third but he was on a recon mission today.

“Yo,” I heard my son say into the phone.
