My mate and his uncle popped away laughing. Angela immediately popped to me so that she was sitting on the bar right next to me. I smiled greeting, “Hello, Angela.” My mate’s younger sister smiled back and answered, “Hello, Melanie. I have to say I enjoy that you are no longer blurry to me.”
I asked, “How was I blurry to you?” Angela answered, “Well, that’s quite the story. I called your friend Paige and asked about those spells on the rings. Once you started wearing them, it was that spell. Before that it was something we haven’t figured out yet.”
“All I know is that there was always magic around you before that. Which will obviously be harder to figure out since we are past that time period. Alania told the Ring how to get around my visions. So, I’m working on finding books that help me fight back. I think I need you for that though.”
I asked, “Me? Why would you need me? I mean… I will obviously help in any way I can. Messing up bad guys plans… is kind of my thing. So, anything you need… I’ll help you with.” Angela smiled, “You’ll see why I need you.”
I snorted, “Can I get a type of direction?” Angela replied, “I can see you find the answers you need just not what or where those answers are. I also see that you give me a book. I can only assume this means you’ll be able to find the book I need.”
“How you do that? I don’t know. You seem to walk right up to it, but I’ve been in the section in my vision. It makes no sense to me, but you will find it, and I’ll get my answers. I’ll go ahead and say it’s because you see things people don’t.”
I smiled then asked, “Can you… possibly help me find someone?” Angela answered, “I can try.” I explained, “Her name is Odette….” I trailed off as Angela frowned and seemed to concentrate really hard on something then groaned. “Not another one.”
I asked, “Another one?” Angela sighed, “She’s a different kind of blurry than you were. Which leads me to believe it’s a different type of magic. Does she have blonde hair?” I nodded, “Yes, she does.” Angela said, “Well, maybe the answer is in that book you find me. Then I can help you find her. Something about her….”
A voice came from behind me interrupting her, “You both need to find that woman. She’s important to the paths of many people that you care about.” I turned and bowed my head, “Crown Princess Aiylee.” Aiylee laughed, “I have heard you do that.” I asked, “Umm what?” Aiylee answered, “Just know who people are.”
I agreed, “It’s definitely my thing.” Angela giggled, “It is.” Aiylee hummed, “I hear I have you to thank for keeping my path from going many places I thought it could go. You kept people from getting my picture and for that you have my thanks.”
I shrugged, “All in a day’s work… it just made sense to me that people shouldn’t have your picture.” Aiylee laughed, “Agreed. This Odette though, she’s important. I sense her presence is needed and missing from many people’s paths.”
“I think she’s been kept away intentionally, but that is the thing about intentions. You can’t control them. The universe fights to restore what is corrupt from human minds. I sense you will figure out that situation around the Spring/Summer timeline.”
I sighed, “I hope so. I really hope she’s ok out there… I helped as much as I could, gave her some tools… but… I worry. That’s also my thing.” Aiylee chuckled, “I think she’s closer than you think she is.” She winked and walked away.
I asked Angela, “Does she know where Odette is?” Aiylee shook her head, “No, or she’d tell you. Her power doesn’t work like that, which I think you already know.” I admitted, “I do but I have theory about how she could work on locating people.”
Angela disagreed, “Aiylee can’t locate people. She can figure out what is needed for people’s path to go down where they should. She can advise what would take you down the wrong path too. If it would alter your path, she knows people who are needed for paths.”
“If she hears their name, it’s clear to her. As a child, she told my dad he needed to find someone important to her. She had not developed her power to its fullest extent, or she would’ve known it was my mom. Aunt Lucinda figured it was Haley though.”
I asked, “When was that?” Angela answered, “When she went to my dad to seek sanctuary to stay in his territory during the war.” I nodded, “Interesting. Which way leads to the nearest bathroom?” Angela smiled and pointed.
I turned to see the way out. I looked back but my sister in law had looked away for a second then said, “Remember you can link people.” I was about to ask what she was talking about when she popped away. I laughed because I really liked her.
Freya agreed, “She feels like the quite the kindred spirit for you. She knows things as you often do.” That was very true. Angela just managed to be less awkward. Freya said, “Everyone has their way and yours is just fine. As is Snow’s.”
I thought over her words as I walked into the bathroom. I took a second and blinked, taking in the scene before me. Faerie was just next level. This was an Earth themed bathroom. Once I came out, I thought I could use some fresh air.
I walked outside on the grounds marveling at the beauty in front of me. Everything was beautiful here. I was walking when I heard a sigh. The scent told me who it was, so I followed it. Ifound Cassie scratching her back in a different outfit then I’d last seen her.
I made a face because she was scratching her back… and that was making me think things… but surely Cayden would be out here with her if my sister in law was in labor. I shoved those thoughts aside to ask, “You needed to change, Cassie?”
My sister in law was in Cayden’s t-shirt. Cassie sighed, “I just wasn’t comfortable. That dress made my back itch.” I frowned because that was going back to my original thought when I spotted her. Freya said, “Rain doesn’t think they are in labor.” Ok… but I did.
I gently said, “Umm… Cassie…. not to like… alarm you… but also… at the same time… isn’t that… I’m pretty sure I’ve read that means a Fairy is in labor.” Cassie’s eyes widened and I literally watched her go into denial about what I’d just said.
My sister in law shook her head saying, “No I’m not due for four more days. Which definitely means that I have four more days. It was a simple problem of itchy fabric.” I looked around before saying, “So, due dates aren’t an exact science. I kind of have a thought… on how to make them… correct… since they are just guesses currently… but I’d need to work with Doris… and Catherine… and other people… but I have other questions right now.”
Cassie chuckled, “Like that?” I questioned, “Where is your Guard?” They would definitely back me up on this whole… her being in labor thing. Cassie shrugged, “They probably would back you up because they overreact when it comes to me. I can’t believe Cayden made them come here.”
I groaned, “Ugh… someone really needs to tell me how to have inside head thoughts.” Cassie replied, “I don’t think people can help you with that.” I waved, “Anyway… they are here because you’re pregnant… and they actually like being with you, so… them being here isn’t a big deal to them. Speaking of them…where are they? Because I know the answer isn’t out here… since I don’t sense them.”
Cassie answered, “I popped out here from the bathroom. They are definitely inside.” Ok, well that didn’t help me because they would definitely back me up and open a portal…. to Doris… for sure. I was about to say we should get them when my sister in law got into a squat.
I asked, “What are you doing?” Because I didn’t like the logical conclusion I was coming to… and that was definitely that she was about to push out a pup. Cassie shrugged admitting, “I don’t know, but it feels right.” Nope. I was not equipped for this.
Freya’s tone was full of humor as she said, “You are though. You have an EMT license.” I replied, “To patch people up! Not help someone give BIRTH!” Freya chuckled, “Yet you know how to help someone give birth and are equipped to help our sister in law.”
