There was even that sparkle of fun missing. Oden confirmed, “Fang does feels bad.” I replied, “Tell him he didn’t know. There was no way he could’ve known we were hiding that power.” Oden agreed, “I’ll do that, but he needs Kiara.” Of course he did, that was his mate. Luckily, Lacy was here. So, she’d be with him soon enough.
I said, “My mom will do something epic to get back at you for this.” Dylan smiled, “I know. It’s going to be great. I will finally dethrone Lucas and his Tinkerbell figurines. It’s about time that prank was topped. He’s held the crown for too long. It’s my turn. I look better in crowns than he does anyway.”
Melanie laughed, “So… I was right. You did this on purpose.” Dylan winked, “I so like you. Have some popcorn, I look forward to all the chaos and fun you cause at this Summit.” Melanie frowned, “I’m not planning on doing anything.”
Dylan smiled, “Ahhh, but I’ve grilled your family and friends about you. I am prepared for all the things all the time. You are going to make this Summit so much less boring.” I commented, “After this, I don’t know how it could be considered boring.”
Dylan grumbled, “About that, for shame on you all for keeping that an explosive secret. I swear that man just gets everything. It makes things like this worth it. Even if he gets the ones I sold back, they are in places all over. In fact, in Blue Moon they are charmed so they cannot be moved.”
I said, “My Uncle Aiden or my mom could move them.” Dylan snorted, “Your Uncle wouldn’t do that, he thinks I’m fun.” I heard a pop. Uncle Aiden announced, “I see I am seconds late for the show. The Fairies that made court last longer will be paying for that.”
Melanie surmised, “You knew too.” Uncle Aiden winked, “Like you, I knew the statue existed but not what it was. I also took the liberty of having a camera installed here in case I missed what happened.” I said, “Dad revealed his power to blow things up.”
Uncle Aiden laughed, “So I see. Lucinda will enjoy watching that. She and your mom worked so hard with him on control. To be fair, he did very well with that.” Dylan gasped, “King Fire Hands, where was my memo?”
Uncle Aiden laughed, “Ah, but finding out this way was so much more fun. Enjoy the rest of the Summit here. I’m sure it will be eventful.” He looked at Melanie when he said it. Melanie seemed annoyed.
I heard my mate in my head, “What did I do? I didn’t even do anything.” I linked her, “No, you haven’t.” My wife jumped sideways. I laughed and told her, “I heard you say that.” Melanie sighed and seemed to be linking Freya.
We didn’t see my parents until the next day. Dylan was standing with us when I felt them getting closer to us in the bond. I warned, “I’d make myself scarce if I were you.” Dylan snorted, “Which is why you aren’t me. Seriously, be more fun.”
The elevator opened and dad walked over to Dylan and handed him a check. Dylan frowned, “What is…?” He trailed off then screamed, “OH MY GOD! You’re paying for the statues you blew up?” Dad gritted his teeth, “Apparently, that’s fair.”
Dylan was laughing so hard he bent over and slapped his knee. He waved his hands, “Oh god. It’s too good. She’s making you pay for them.” Mom said, “I also conjured acceptable statues for you to sell. I found the paperwork you filled out for booth. It wouldn’t be fair for you not to be able to sell something.”
Dylan sighed, “I’m sure it’s a lovely statue.” He whispered, “That I will hate because it’s going to actually be LSGAP as agod.” Mom produced a statue for Dylan and I smiled. It was my dad standing in Thor’s battle gear outfit.
Dylan sighed, “This is what I get for bringing the comedy to our lives. These will not sell as well as the others, just so you know.” Mom snorted, “I bet all the damn women buy this fucking statue, and I’ll just wish I could kill them with my eyes.” I couldn’t help but laugh.
Mom rolled her eyes and said, “Alright. I’ll be taking my daughters and sons-in law with me. You boys try not to fucking kill each other. I’m specifically looking at two.” She pointed at dad and Dylan. Dylan gasped, “Moi? Cause trouble? Never! Only Fairy fun.”
Mom kissed dad and turned to wait for all our mates. I kissed Melanie before saying, “Have fun at your first Luna brunch.” Melanie whispered, “Ok… but like… I mean…. Yeah ok.” I linked her, “It’s ok to be nervous.” Melanie replied, “I just want to make a good impression.” I assured her, “You will.”
Oden told me, “Freya said that she’s worried because people don’t like her.” I snarled, “Shitheads in Black Path don’t count.” Oden snorted, “Agreed.” My wife walked off, and my brothers and I formed a literal wall between dad and Dylan on the way to our first meeting.
Dylan said, “Aww little Mini Pricks, you all care about little old me. I thought just Wesley would block me from LSGAP’s view, but no each and every one of you are helping. I am so touched.” Dad growled, “I still might punch you.”
Dylan gloated, “You’ve never punched me.” Dad muttered, “I muzzled you though.” Dylan gasped, “You would bring that up right now! It was very rude of you and that was before the PF’s entered our lives. That doesn’t count. Wipe it from the history books because it never happened. What happens in pre-partial Fairy days stays in pre-partial fairy days.” Dad rolled his eyes.
We sat down for our meeting with several other Alphas. While the parties and gatherings at the Summit were fun; these meetings were tedious and boring. I felt annoyance from Melanie in our bond. I was hoping she’d have fun, but that didn’t appear to be the case.
My mate’s irritation was mounting, and the hope people would like her had long faded. I felt my mom’s extreme surprise and what felt like gratitude. EJ bolted up out of nowhere saying, “Excuse us.” My big brother grabbed my arm and led me out of the room.
Dad followed with a smirk on his face. When the door closed, I asked, “What happened? Why are we leaving our brothers in that boring meeting?” EJ answered, “They will join us, because your mate is throwing down at the Luna brunch. Cayden told Elise he had no intention of stopping Ladybug, and her friends all shrugged and said that’s Melanie.”
I asked, “What the hell happened?” EJ explained “Ladybug didn’t appreciate how some people were talking to our mom or the other mates.” I growled, “Talking to them how?” EJ shrugged, “We can get to that later. Right now, your mate is beating the shit out of a Luna we are not allies with and her two daughters.”
Dad snorted. I grabbed him and popped to my mom. Melanie had busted all three women’s lips. I gasped when she held the Luna of a pack in Louisiana down and ripped out her canines. Oden purred, “Mate is awesome.”
My eyes widened knowing how big a deal to wolves that move was. The canines grew back, but it was slow and they started out as baby teeth. The two daughters were outraged and rushed Melanie together. My mate easily put them both down.
Melanie warned, “Unless you want to lose your canines too, grow a brain, have some respect, and shut your mouths.” Damn that was hot. Gage linked, “I’m hearing things.” I replied, “Youshould get here with your mate.” Phil linked, “I’m on the way. Sierra is just laughing about how she said she should be at the brunch.”
The Alpha of the Luna and the two other women’s father came storming in. Alpha Sail looked at his mate and got red in the face. Dad chuckled, “I really like your mate, son.” I looked back at Alpha Sail. His son was right behind him, along with the former Alpha Sail. The son was fighting back a laugh and a smile.
Dad admitted, “I am hoping the former Alpha Sail makes a move.” Lexi Daniels flashed beside us emphatically stating, “So do I. I didn’t get to kick his ass the last time I saw him, when he tried to stop Matt and Ted’s wedding.” I raised an eyebrow in surprise.
I asked EJ, “Did you know that?” EJ linked, “I was a baby pup too, I don’t remember that.” Oden snorted, “I’m asking the wolves.” Melanie simply stared at Alpha Sail. My mate’s stance and eyes were daring him to say something.
